Lido Zen Gallipoli — Local services in Gallipoli

I've read some truly exorbitant reviews. Speaking as a tourist, I can definitely confirm that there are some things that need fixing at this beach. It's clearly not well-maintained in some areas, but very efficient in others. I have nothing to complain about the bar; every time I ordered a drink, they were there to serve me with a smile. As for the service: the friendliness could be improved, but the staff are exceptional. It can happen. The bathrooms are dirty because they're frequented by uncivilized children. The place is ok until the point where they close the LIDO at 20:00h. At that point some security guy will come to you saying that the beach is closed and that you have to leave the beach. Since when LIDOs have the authority to close a public place like a beach even if you are not using their sits and you are staying just by the shore. Do LIDOs think they own the beach? Is it not the case that they have a just a license from the city hall (in this case Gallipoli) to operate a bar and rent chairs in front of it? Why nobody is reacting against that? Why the city hall is not controlling this...

I visited this beach resort hoping for a relaxing meal by the sea, but I was left extremely disappointed. After waiting for over 20 minutes, no one came to take my order. I tried to get the attention of the staff multiple times, but I was either ignored or brushed off. When I finally approached them about the delay, I was met with rude and dismissive attitudes.

For a place that advertises itself as a top destination for relaxation, the service was anything but. If you’re looking for friendly, attentive staff, I’d suggest finding another spot. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend...
