Spiaggia Principale — Local services in Grado

During our road trip, we made a refreshing stop for a swim at Spiaggia Principale in Grado. We found parking easily near the beach, which was a pleasant surprise. Since we only planned to take a quick dip, we didn’t rent any sun loungers (which would have been quite expensive) —instead, we headed straight to the shoreline for swimming.

The beach itself is very shallow, and there can be some algae in the water. At low tide, the shoreline likely recedes quite far, making the walk to deeper water a bit longer. A little further out, there’s a floating swim platform where the water is noticeably deeper and better for swimming.

La spiaggia GIT di Grado (GO) offre un ambiente pulito, ma purtroppo l'organizzazione lascia a desiderare. Gli avventori sono sostanzialmente abbandonati a sé stessi, senza alcun tipo di assistenza. La disposizione dei lettini rimane invariata dalla sera precedente, con scarsa attenzione alla pulizia, il che dà un'impressione di trascuratezza.

Un aspetto particolarmente negativo è l’assurda politica di limitare l'accesso alla spiaggia per oltre 2,5 km a chi non ha prenotato un ombrellone. Questo sistema, introdotto durante il periodo del COVID-19, sembra essere stato mantenuto per favorire la società GIT, nonostante le restrizioni pandemiche siano ormai superate. Tale pratica penalizza chi desidera semplicemente godersi il mare senza essere obbligato a noleggiare un costoso ombrellone.

Per essere davvero inclusivi, sarebbe necessario prestare attenzione anche alle diverse condizioni economiche degli avventori. Purtroppo, la sensazione che si percepisce alla spiaggia GIT di Grado è che l'attenzione sia rivolta solo a un certo tipo di clientela, probabilmente quella più disposta a non sollevare critiche o a non richiedere un servizio di qualità elevata. Questo approccio esclude molte persone che, pur volendo godere di una giornata al mare, non possono permettersi le tariffe elevate per l'accesso e i servizi offerti.

I prezzi sono piuttosto elevati, specialmente per una famiglia di quattro persone, che può spendere oltre 36 euro al giorno per un ombrellone e due lettini. Considerando i costi e il livello di servizio offerto, l'esperienza risulta deludente e non giustifica la spesa. Horrible what the City of Grado did, this has to be the biggest Scam ever.
