Terrible delivery service. In total I ordered over €4000 in items from Ikea, much of it came damaged or dirty. The delivery men also left a dent in our wood floor. When I later drove to Rome Ikea to return some items, they are very unhelpful because I don't speak very good Italian. There is no sign to lineup or sign in for the return process, when we ask how to line up, they staff do not want to help us. It is a simple thing to ask. They are unhelpful to process the returns, even missed scanning one item I realized later so they took the item but did not refund me. It was so difficult to do the return I did not go back to correct the error. We have one more item to be delivered today to our home- it never came. We call Ikea and they say the order time was incorrect? They did not notify me in advance to correct the time, they just wait until the problem occurs and then we must call Ikea. We ask for a new delivery date, they ask we call again tomorrow morning? We ask if delivery is even possible this week and how to speak to the same person again so not to explain the situation to another person in the morning; the customer agent ends the phone with us. I can read in my online order the time and date is for today for the order, but according to Ikea it was wrong and they could not be bothered to contact us to tell us in advance a and when we call today for help they are so unhelpful. I am really disappointed in Ikea. Not a good place for foreigners/expats to shop, they don't want to help us. I feel very unwelcome even though we try our best to speak in Italian. Update: we have now called Ikea 4x today to correct this issue or get a refund, they tell us call back in the morning, they refuse to refund us, and there is no apology or recognition of the problems they caused us because the delivery did not occur today as we scheduled and paid for. Update on the next day: we call again this morning and explain the situation again to another agent. We ask to cancel the order because we are leaving the country for a few months and another delivery time in 3 weeks is impossible. They tell us we cannot cancel the order, there is no refund. They must contact the delivery company and they will call us back at 12 or 18. It is 1900 and no one called us all day. We have no refund. We do not have the energy to call for the 6x only to be refused any service. I see Ikea just replied to this review and asked we contact them on social media, I have no idea how to do this. There is no email address on the Ikea.it website and their chat feature is a robot, only automated responses. This is their customer service. Read moreAfter the superbad experience, below, I bought a big kitchen table, with 4 chairs. They deliver and it is damaged. I send picture of the mounted damaged table. We talk about it and they offer full refund also for the chairs, matching the table. No further comunication. A courier comes to pick up and 'no, the chairs I do not read on my paper and the table should have been dismounted'. Not the case. The courier does not have place in his van. The IKEA customer support says I should dismantle. My plane leaves tonight. No can do. It will remain for months outside.
When talking about the refund they do not refund immediately and first take in the table and later you may get yout money refunded. 'Those are our procedures.'
I hope IKEA burns to the ground sooner than later.

I love antique and vintage furniture, but our apartment is very small, so we have to be super efficient with the space and IKEA is the best way to do that. It's economical, too.
