Old Wild West - Roma C.C. Anagnina — Restaurant in Rome

My family and I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time, we were seated and waited 20 minutes to be waited upon. No one would come to our table, even though we were seated right in the middle. In the end, we got up and left. We went again this week and were just the second group inside the restaurant. The worker obviously did not want to be there as he “shooed” us to pick a table in the middle section. We waited about 10 minutes and again, he nor the other worker ever came to take our order or even interact with us. We got up and left again. Cool place in Ciampino, we stopped by for some American food but it was a bit disappointing. Their special seems to be burgers, but they are not very tasty and they are overcooked. I think the meat is too lean, and they cook them too much, even if you ask for medium. Didn’t really expect the same quality burger we get back in the US, but this one was pretty bad. We also tried a chicken burger, that one was much tastier. The tacos were also very different than what we are used to, but pretty good. A lot of people ordered ribs, but we didnt have a chance...

Per me é sempre gradevole andare a mangiare in questi posti, ma si sa già a memoria cosa mangiare.

Vorrei fare un'osservazione che non deve lasciare intendere nessuna nota negativa per il luogo.

Diciamo che ormai mangiare da Old Wild West é come andare da McDonald's... c'è la stessa cosa ovunque vai, cucinata allo stesso identico modo... Ovviamente, valutare questo tipo di ristorazione é quasi automatico perché più del cibo (sempre uguale) che può piacere o non piacere, ci si può concentrare sulla propria impressione personale che può essere legata alla posizione geografica dell'esercizio, all'accoglienza, alla simpatia e disponibilità del personale, alla velocita del servizio e alla pulizia. Di solito io mi reco in questi posti quando voglio mangiare della carne a prezzi modici e non ho tanto tempo a disposizione, oppure quando me lo chiedono i bambini, per ovvie ragioni che credo tutti comprendano (vale anche per McDonald). Naturalmente non mi aspetto di mangiare carne comprata in macelleria il giorno stesso, amorevolmente preparata da uno Chef stellato con materie prime di prima scelta... Premesso quanto detto, non voglio assolutamente dire che chi lavora in questi posti non debba essere valutato per l'impegno e la professionalità.
