Lido Caparena — Local services in Taormina

The beach itself is nice, rocky with beautiful clear water.

The Hotels beach cafe is partially overpriced, with an Aperol costing 10 Euro, though bottles of wine are reasonably priced at 25.

The food is hands down the worst food I’ve had over the past 3 weeks in Italy, making Autogrill look like Osteria Francescana or Pepe in Grani in comparison.

It’s part of a reputable hotel, and serving up this garbage (the pricing doesn’t matter,it was 10, however even 1 euro is too much for this trash) really isn’t good enough. The sandwich had 2 bites taken out of it as my wife said it can’t possibly be this bad, both ended up spat out in napkins.

The other food ordered at the beach cafe was of vending machine quality.

All in all, it’s been a great day till we attempted...

Bit of a rocky dip going into and out of the beach over some shingle, but a nice sandy beach (very clean) and with a great beach bar (serves limited but good food). Also a restaurant but...

Da premettere che per due ombrelloni abbiamo pagato 15 € a persona, eravamo 4 se ne sono andati solo 60€x due ombrelloni periodo agosto, :( cn questi soldi dovevano offrire almeno un aperitivo o qualcosa invece nulla quindi ci siamo sentiti rubare i soldi, per il cibo al lido niente di che ma x un lido me lo aspettavo. Cm spiaggia pulita ma sinceramente nn ci torniamo più xke capisco il periodo ma secondo me sbagliate ad approfittarne. Peccato... (hotel fantastico e curato nei dettagli,poi quei giardini...
