Piscine Carletti — Local services in Viterbo

Free open-air hot springs. There is a free parking lot. There are two areas: one with four basins near source of hot water (thus, hottest) and another further along with some tree shade. We stayed there one night in our camper, but there are not services for camper (just fyi). It was lovely to experience the baths from late afternoon to late night. There was a constant flow of people but it never got too crowded.

Some tips: these are free baths, so do not expert a spa or facilities to shower, etc. Channel your inner hippy and enjoy! Also, if stay the night in a camper, know that the parking lot gets lots of traffic late at night from people looking to hook up. TERME DELLE PISCINE CARLETTI A VITERBO Il posto è molto carino, immerso in un parco, lontano da case; è un po' piccolo e nei giorni festivi c'è molta gente. L'acqua è veramente calda e si sta bene. La sorgente termale delle Piscine Carletti si trova sulla Strada Terme - distanza circa 2,5 Km dal centro di Viterbo. Questa zona ipertermale gratuita nasce da una sorgente con caratteristiche simili a quelle del Bulicame ed è situata in prossimità dell’incrocio tra strada Terme e la Strada Tuscanese. L’acqua termale ha una temperatura in uscita di circa 56.4°C è un'acqua solfato bicarbonato alcalino terrosa , con un indice di salinità di 2300 mg per litro. C'è un grande parcheggio adatto sia a camper che a roulotte e per auto. Ricordatevi di portare con voi molta acqua da bere, perché ci si può disidratare a causa dell'elevata temperatura dell'acqua. La fermata dell’autobus urbano proveniente da Viterbo centro è a pochi metri da queste sorgenti. Il bar trattoria più vicino è a circa 250 metri (La Felicetta). L’area non ha alberi né zone d’ombra quindi attenzione alle ore più calde della giornata in estate. Per utilizzare queste fonti e le piccole piscine non dovrete chiedere né permessi e né autorizzazioni, basterà utilizzare le buone regole di convivenza e ricordarsi una busta per non gettare i propri rifiuti fuori dai cassonetti.
