my son and I were on a family trip for three weeks and we felt we had seen plenty of the City Life having been to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and other cities. He and I both love nature so much and I knew there was more to Japan than just their amazing cities. So we looked to see how we could enjoy Japan’s beautiful Mountains and forestry we wanted to see Mount Fuji for sure. My Son already loves camping and so do I and we found this glamping place and luckily they had availability for four days and three nights. As an American who speaks limited Japanese, they were able to text to my cell phone number instead of texting through Booking.com, which made it much more easy to communicate. Otherwise, we would not have been able to navigate so easily. We were trying to figure out a way to get to from Kyoto to the campgrounds, the easiest and best way, via the bullet train. They advised us on the best way to travel, keeping in mind the quickest time and the most cost-effective way. They arranged our taxi upon our arrival at the Mishima station. They all greeted us and helped us get settle in. They even advised us to get groceries at a nearby store for our stay because we were not booked in advance enough for on site food preparation. I actually like how this turned out for us because we really enjoyed using their facilities such as their grill and outdoor barbecue and their outdoor pizza oven to create breakfast lunch and dinner for ourselves. This was very ideal because we were able to shop at a local Japanese grocery store and pick up all the things we desired. Our beautiful tent had everything from Plush, linens, comforters, blankets, chairs, and even had a fridge, raider heaters, coffee, and tea set up And much much more. The restrooms were just a short walk which were as a luxurious as the four seasons with every amenity possible, including the amazing Japanese toilets that are heated and have every feature possible. we got to explore the area rented some bikes, went around the lake, the shrines as well as the hot springs onsen. We had bonfires at night getting to know the other people who stayed here through Google Translate and had a wonderful time getting to know the staff as well. I love how there are only 5 to 6 tents as that allows for the staff to take credible, credible attention and care to every person. If you book 5 days in advance, all your cooking will be taken care of but for us we are glad we got to experience cooking ourselves. You can even purchase some items here at their little Vinnie store of liquor, marshmallows, and other basic necessities. This stay will go in my top three most amazing stays that I have in the world, and I have seen a lot of places and experienced a lot of places as well. I give a huge shout out to them as I don’t always leave reviews when things are good, but this place was great and I hope that anyone who stays here has an equal if not better experience. we loved the rain. We loved the sunshine and the beautiful fall leaves. Thank you to all the staff who made our trip so incredibly special we will...

An Unforgettable Glamping Experience Under the Stars – Hoshifull Dome Fuji
Staying at Hoshifull Dome Fuji was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, care, and attention to detail that elevated our entire experience. The domes themselves are beautifully designed—spacious, clean, and cozy—with incredibly comfortable beds and every amenity you could want, all nestled in the peaceful forest near Mount Fuji.
Even though you can’t see Fuji directly from the domes, the surrounding beauty and serenity more than made up for it. The nighttime sky was breathtaking—lying in bed under the soft lighting of the dome, surrounded by trees and silence, was a dream come true.
The staff were truly exceptional—kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure we were happy and comfortable. They even helped us plan small details of our stay and gave wonderful local recommendations.
We have very strick dietary restrictions so the breakfast was another highlight. Everything was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared—especially the high-quality Japanese Salmon they cooked for us in a brand new new pan. It felt like dining at a luxury retreat in the heart of nature.
If you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious escape with a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, this is it. I left feeling rested, inspired, and already dreaming of coming back. Thank you to the Hoshifull Dome Fuji team and especially Sou for such an...
Read moreWe had an incredible overnight stay at the Hoshifull domes. It's a true glamping experience where you're somewhat out in the woods but everything is super comfortable. The beds were some of the best we had in our entire stay in Japan. The tent has everything you need including a kettle with tea and coffee - waking up early, making a hot cup of coffee, and sitting outside the dome in the woods was amazing. The showers and amenities were fantastic.
There is also a shop where you can get beverages and camping supplies if you want. We were able to sit by the bonfire at night with a nice cold whiskey soda from the cooler, and the staff brought out some marshmallows for us to toast - heaven.
The staff was amazing and super helpful despite our very poor Japanese - a few members spoke great English and translation apps helped us interact when the language barrier was higher. Sou-san was super helpful and guided us on where to grab some food, ran the shuttle back to Kawaguchiko Station, and introduced us to the regional specialty of houdon which we ate in town after our stay - delicious.
One thing to be careful of is if you book through a third-party, make sure you find a way to include the food package if you want to grill at night - but otherwise you can take a walk down to the Lawson, grab some konbini food, and enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji down the road.
Thanks to everyone at Hoshifull Dome, we hope to come back some day for a...
