We got here on a very cold, snowing Saturday night and looking for a place to eat. Felt like having Italian and after looking around in Google map, we decided to choose this place. We really enjoyed our meal here. It's easy to drive there from CBD area (just pick the route not through the CBD) and there are lots of parking space. The parking space in front of the restaurant was full when wet got there and when I asked the waitress, she said it was fine to park in front of a house that is opposite to the restaurant. Ordering is easy via QR code. I have a Line account, so the code automatically uses my Line account to enter the ordering app. If you need to order more throughout the meal, just scan the code again to order. We had Margherita pizza and the omurice which uses the local/Mt Fuji eggs. We only had their tiramisu pancake. The pizza was the really thin crust type and has tartness from the fresh tomatoes and the basil pesto was good. It's a really different type of Margherita pizza that we have in Australia which uses tomato paste/sauce. The omurice was really nice and we could see why it's their most popular main dish. Not only the egg, but the rice washing also nice and fluffy. The tiramisu pancake was really interesting as we usually have tiramisu as either the cake or cup version back home. I had their house white wine which is a South African Chardonnay and that's really nice (not really dry) and it's the unoaked type. It can be a bit slow for the food to come out if the restaurant is busy as I think the chef is the only one in the kitchen (and the waitress did nicely remind us to be mindful when ordering food on the waiting times). We didn't mind that as we had afternoon tea and was looking for a late dinner. Overall, this is somewhere I would recommend to anyone to have a dinner (or lunch) at a nice, quiet place away from the busy areas in this...
Read morePoor attitude from servers and long waits.
My boyfriend and I came here for the Christmas Eve course. They made us wait past our reservation time to be seated and ended up seating us in the middle of the restaurant and at the opposite side of the table from each other. We pointed out that they had offered us a private table when we made the reservation and, after asking us for proof, seemed aggravated that they had to ask the people already in that room to move.
The service in general was extremely slow. It took almost 45 minutes to get our first course (a salad consisting of maybe half a lettuce leaf and a few tiny vegetables) and the five courses took over 2 and a half hours from start to end. All the portions were incredibly small even by Japanese standards, but tasty.
The attitude of our server in general was quite poor. I don’t know if she was upset about the private room or if that is just her normal attitude but she spoke very informally and just seemed annoyed the whole time. We asked her for a lid so we could carry our bottle of wine out and she just walked out of the room without saying anything. When we went to pay, my boyfriend pointed out that he downloaded an app which was supposed to give us a discount and she said okay but didn’t apply the discount.
I’ve lived in Japan for a long time and this is the only time I’ve had a dining experience bad enough that I felt the need to leave a review. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially not for...
Read moreExcellent service and very friendly staff. Fantastic food. Will definitely be back again
I went back the next night and we decided to explore the menu a little more. The food got even better, bursting with flavour. We were given a sliced mushroom dish which beautiful (for a person who didn’t like mushrooms, I now do!) everything was fantastic the starters, mains and also the stunning patisserie’s to end the night. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the area. As the restaurant is filled with fantastic food, good atmosphere and wonderful staff who are very kind...
