Ooedo Onsen Premium Gero New Building — Local services in Gero

Pros:

1. Great service- We enjoyed our welcome drinks and ice-cream in a grand lounge when arrived here 2)Great view- We were very impressed when we looked around the town from balcony. 3)Well-maintained Onsen with excellent amenities - Feeling relaxed in the Onsen. There are two indoor Onsen with different temperature and one open-air Onsen. The brands of the amenities were good and very popular in Japan.
2. Delicious buffet food offered - Seasonal food, like crabs and sashimi was served. Personally, I like to eat the steamed scallops with vegetables.
3. Free parking - Convenient for driving
4. Great price - Cost 45,000 Yen for four persons Cons:

We have been trying to visit Oedo Onsen Monogatari Gero since it opened many years ago. Somehow, we just did not make it; could be a wrong date, or unavailability of room, or completely unable to visit due to Covid.|November 2023 we managed to make a reservation, albeit paying unusually high rates. Could it be due to the high season, Koyo? However, we were reasonably satisfied with the hotel. facilities: Friendly service, our room was clean , the breakfast and dinner, both buffets were good. Indoor onsen and the rotenburo were just so so, nothing special. The real surprise was a beautiful garden just a few minutes walk from the hotel, also the timing for koyo could not be better.
