TSUTAYA BOOKS Hakodate Store — Local services in Hakodate

BEST BOOKSTORE EVERR!!! This is my all time favourite hangout spot in Hakodate. It's firstly a bookstore but offers so much more. Video, DVD and CD rentals and sales. Sample some of the cds you may be interested in. There's also a nice restaurant, a Starbucks and FamilyMart inside. Each month they feature something new and interesting, ranging from cars and motorcycles to a beauty fair where you can get your nails and make up some at discounted prices. They have many other smaller store within the building but all are surrounded by books. You can even read the books right off the shelves in the many comfy seating areas available. An amazing assortment of stationery. This is the place for you if you love crafts and pens. This is touted as the biggest Tsutaya in Japan and I believe it. The ambience is cosy and welcoming and there are countless nooks for lounging and reading. The music listening stations are also great for sampling music the staff have curated. A fantastic bookstore that makes me really really wish we had something like it back home. Books, magazines, CDs, music, movies, stationary and even games can all be found inside. All in a Stylish building that has copious and easy to access parking :).
