Mount Shigi — Local services in Heguri

*Much better than Monte Koya. Less touristic. More peace and less rude tourists. *

East of Osaka, Mount Shigi is home to a collection of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. A beautiful spiritual excursion less than an hour from Kyoto and Osaka, lesser-known to tourists.

Located between Osaka and Nara, the small Mount Shigi culminates at 437 meters. This sacred hill is home to a whole set of temples, including the famous Chogosonshi-ji. It is also the birthplace of many legends and the Battle of Shigisan of 587. This mountain, easily accessible from Osaka or Nara, is less frequented than its big brothers such as Mount Koya and provides a nice breath of fresh air off the beaten track.

You will arrive by bus at the foot of the mountain, in the small village of Shigisannishi. You will have to start climbing the steps through a path marked by stone lanterns, the toro. Many ways intersect throughout the sacred place, and you will wonder at your own pace between the different temples, the torii, and the chozuya (basins for purification). 思い出して、書き足しています❗

ちょっと嬉しい話です。 子どもがまだ小学生の時ここに行きました。 ケーブルに乗ってから娘がトイレに行きたいと言うので、(行っておいで)と言いケーブルカーの中で待っていると発車のベルがなり慌てて、ケーブルの出口ドアまで私が行った時,トイレから女の方が出てきて、運転手さんにと言いと娘の手を取り走ってきてくれました❗ 私は、丁寧にお礼を言い一緒に本堂までその女の方含め四人で行動しました。 そしてそれぞれお参りし休憩所に行こうとしたとき、 (なあ、此のお堂のした戒壇巡り出来るよ❗私一人では怖いし一緒にいこ)(それ何ですか？)って聞いたら本堂の下を降りたら穴があって真っ暗なところを出口まで行くと、心や悪いことをしてても浄化されるらしいのです❗ 快く承諾して、皆で入ったら本当に足元も見えないくらい前も何も見えないので,右手を壁に当てずっと触りながら四人で連なって歩きました。 所々ぼんやりした灯りがありそこには仏像が有るので手を合わせ出口まで行きました。 でもその時と思ったけど気にせず,ずっと一緒に行動してとても楽しい１日を終えました。その方は(上本町に住んでいるのよ)、と言っていました✨降りる駅までずーっと自分達の街の話したり、面白い出来事を喋ったりして、ほんと楽しかった✨ 途中で薬飲まれたので、聞いてみたら「心臓が悪い」と言ってられたので、少し心配になりました✨そんな気持ちになるほど、その方に好意を、持っていました✨(#^.^#)
