Accessed via a paved tree-lined walk along the Nunobiki Stream from Shin-Kobe station. Commemorative poems are carved into boulders along the way. Much more enjoyable than I expected. Beautiful setting high on a hill, there are several falls along the way. It's an uphill, somewhat demanding walk, so good shoes are a requirement. It's cooler among the trees, so a sweater may be advised. Allow time to sit and enjoy the ambience.

(English below) 新神戸駅から15分ほど登るとこの滝に到着します。少し坂道はきついので夏場などは大変かもしれません。 雌滝（めんたき）と雄滝（おんたき）という2つの滝があるのですが、メインは雄滝でしょう。規模もさることながら、ひらけているので滝を正面から見ることができます。ベンチも用意されているので、のんびりと滝を眺めて時間を過ごすこともできます。 --------------------------- A 15-minute walk uphill from Shin-Kobe Station will take you to this waterfall. The slope is a little steep, so it may be difficult in summer. There are two waterfalls, Mentaki (Female Falls) and Ontaki (Male Falls), but the main one would be Ontaki which is not only large in scale but also wide open, so you can see the falls from the front. Benches are provided so that visitors can relax and spend some time looking at the waterfalls.

I recommend taking the rope way up to the mid station and then following the trail DOWN. Walking UP to the falls would be a real workout...
