All I can say… if you look Asian, you look Japanese but can’t speak Japanese, if you look CHINESE , they expect you to be unable to speak English or you’re just inferior, when you speak English they treat like they don’t understand English, mind you I know in cities like this they do understand alittle English like hello? Coffee hot cold? They pretended not to understand and I had to repeat more than 4-5 times, also I’m fluent in English as well are from an English educated country. The feeling of disdain and annoyance was clearly hanging in the air, they could understand the European/american customer but couldn’t understand my English. The discrimination is real. Thereafter didn’t thank the customer too, and just rudely pointed for me to stand one side , while the next European / American customer got the pleasant full package service. She was also gossiping while we were waiting for our food (we know since she did that blatantly infront of us after our order). Very rude. Japanese culture or manners has really dropped immensely perhaps due to whatever reasons compared to 2 years ago. Terrible, worse than most Asian countries I went. If you aren’t happy about Asians and you think Asians aren’t well educated and well mannered you’re wrong. asian countries are getting increasingly sophisticated. You won’t get anywhere if you continue such attitude. Don’t forget where you get your technology, knowledge and language from? (China) don’t be so full of yourselves , pride won’tbuy you respect. Disgusting. Would love to see how Japan would progress without international collaboration. I think it’s time you set up an Asian lane and entitled (local lane) and also the other countries you like? Maybe it would be easier for all of us or a QR code so we don’t have to experience this useless inefficient...
Read moreThe location of this place is super, I hiked up for about an hour to reach it, passing some beautiful scenery - 2 waterfalls, a dam, through a well-maintained trail, and the view and massive balcony are stunning. However, the place is quite pretentious, I did not feel greeted or welcomed as a guest, the staff is super formal and serious and talks on their little microphones as if they are coordinating a secret mission, not seating a few people for a cup of coffee and some cake. The prices are a bit unreasonable, the coffee was double the price of most places in Osaka and the desserts and small sandwiches were ridiculously overpriced. It seems a lot of people visit here to escape the city as you can also drive up or take the cable cart, so I would not recommend it for the average hiker who is just looking for a rest and a nice cup of tea or coffee. But if you are into pretentious overpriced cakes or club sandwiches with a view, this is...
Read moreThe view is great but the food is overpriced and not very good. We had the Herb Burger for 1050¥ (they had replaced the egg with a slice of cheese today), and the burger had absolutely zero sear on it, just grey almost boiled looking. The bun was too thick on the bottom and also wasn't toasted at all. It lacked juiciness and wasn't sauced much either. It took a lot of persuading to get them to give a thimbleful of extra sauce to make up for the dryness. The Quiche was also so tiny I felt like the 650¥ pricetag was a rotal rip off. Both items also lacked any major herby flavours. Don't waste your money on the food, just bring some sandwiches and enjoy the view and...
