醍醐寺の守護神をまつる清瀧宮の拝殿は、寛治3年(1089)の創建で、その後、焼失しましたが、現在の建物は永享6年(1434)から5年かけて再建されたそうです。唐の青龍寺の守護神、清瀧権現が請来されているとのことです。建物の外観は住宅風、北から南の急勾配の斜面に位置するため、南面を大きく張り出させる懸造りに成っているそうです。

上醍醐は山の上なので当たり前といえば当たり前ですが、道が狭くてカメラ泣かせなところが多いです。 こちらは本殿から見下ろして撮影した写真です。 四年前に伺った時に撮影したこの写真でも屋根の劣化が結構目立ちますが、今後葺き替えられるのでしょうか。 大変貴重な文化財、これからも大切に守り継がれていかれることをお祈りいたします。

国宝の清滝宮拝殿には ココから少し上にあるヤハリ国宝の薬師堂の帰りに 疲れはてた状態で立ち寄りました 拝殿は山の傾斜地に建てられ 拝殿南の桁が 懸造りになり 木々に覆われ 建物外観が見え 辛く ヨクもあり残念でも有りました

拝殿の創建年は 平安時代の1089年ですが ソノ後に消失し 現在の建物は室町中期の1434年に再建されたものです また建物の様式は 入母屋造の檜皮葺で両妻 には 大きく庇を付けた向拝が設けられ妻入 となっています なお 清瀧宮拝殿は 醍醐寺の守護神である 清龍権現を祀る 清瀧宮の拝殿である トノ事です
