Wow. A nice and secluded little place right off of gojo. Make sure you have time if you want a goshuin because it's an experience and will take 30 minutes to an hour just to do it. The prices are more expensive than a standard stamp but these stamps are so much more.

The monk is friendly and charming, and if you get a moment to watch him work it can be like a meditation....

My son and I had a wonderful time in Seijuin. We were received by the chief priest, who takes care of this temple together with his family. He offered us tea, explained us his training as a Buddhist monk and painted wonderful Goshuins. Taking care of a temple is a beautiful but heavy responsibility....

We got a great time with the monk! It was peculiar feeling that we know each other for long time even though we had just met when we talk about his next drawing which is a double-dragon. I love his artworks because all of them have a strong center axis, so very stable and comfortable. Thanks षितिघर्भ（Kṣitigarbha 地蔵菩薩） and बोधिधर्म（bodhidharma菩提達磨）, I really appreciate today’s encounter.

Wir sind durch Zufall vorbei gekommen und der Besitzer war sehr freundlich zu uns. Er hat uns alles erklärt und er erhält seinen Tempel aus eigener Kraft mit viel Arbeit. Der Tempel ist klein aber fein und man sieht die vielen Details die da drin stecken. Wir durften uns innen alles ansehen und haben ausnahmsweise eine tolle Schriftrolle bekommen, die der Meister selbst kunstvoll gestaltet hat. Er sagte normalerweise verschenkt er das nicht, aber er macht eine Ausnahme. Wir hatten auch kein so Stempelbuch, nachdem manche die Tempel abklappern. Das ist das schönste Geschenk aus dem Japan Urlaub. Vielen Dank noch mal für die vielen neuen Eindrücke und Inspirationen! Meine Tochter möchte es rahmen lassen und in ihrem Zimmer aufhängen.
