Yoyakunow — Local services in Matsuyama

I was a little worried when I pre-ordered Bandai's DX VT-1 Super Ostrich as the store asked for payment early and had only experienced pre-orders with payment billed when item was in-stock. But my experience was great, they communicated with me every step of the way.

I was very excited when I received my item. The item was securely and carefully packaged which is always appreciated.

Unfortunately there was a small thruster missing from one of the booster pods (clearly a factory fault), I was able to easily chat with them, they are very receptive and responsive to my emails and more than happy to help me - they are trying to get me a replacement part.

UPDATE: They were able to obtain the replacement part and were organising it to ship to me but I haven't heard from them in over a month or any indication of progress. They did mention that they are very busy but also worried I've been forgotten as after sales is not necessarily their focus.

Pre ordered item reached in 6 days to Australia despite shipping hiccups (chose registered epacket, 2nd cheapest shipping, package was sent to post office, received tracking number however it was returned to sender. Chose cheapest shipping which was airmail with no tracking but as said previously, package arrived safely. Ryota-san displayed excellent comminication from start to finish (4 shipping options were presented to choose from) and also apologised for the shipping error. It was evident that the package was picked up and sent on the same day and shipping charges were exactly as said. Overall very happy with the order (it was a 1/48 Gundam head) and have already preordered another pbandai product. Yoyakunow also uses Paypal so buyer protection is secure. If you have read reddit comments about Yoyakunow, know that I did the same however I decided to give this a go and was not disappointed....

I am so sick of after market sellers selling Japanese collectibles for double or triple the original retail price, so I was delighted to find a long-sought-after item on this site for only slightly more than its original price. I found this very admirable considering a quick Google search would show this could be successfully sold for much more. It is clear that the owner of the site has real principles about bringing not just Japanese items but the experience and quality of Japanese retail to an international audience. The prices are fair, postage was prompt and transparent, and the communication was first class.
