Disappointing place. Even getting there just before 10am, it was like a dead town! Seriously.

Even past 10am, no one was busily preparing to open so … is Monday their day off ?

One guy was just about to put up signage and such selling their local tuna stuff, I asked how long more? He said another 10-15mins! 🥺😢🙄🙄😳

Naaah! Plus there was no other activity from the other shops. Having driven nearly an hour from Kochi!? I could have stayed a bit longer in Kochi or moved on earlier to my next destination.

一応、気に入っている場所ですが、何故だか行くたびに活気が無いように感じます。日曜や祝祭日は混み合うので当然活気がありますが、平日だと人出も疎らで休業日の店もあるということでしょうか。それと、時間帯にも影響されます。やっぱり行くなら繁忙期の午前中でしょう。どうしてもさかなが主体になりますが、よく見るとイノシシやシカの肉を激安価格で売っている店も有ります。

7.14 追記 ３連休だというのに、８店舗もの店が閉まっているみたいでした。田中鮮魚店で鰹のタタキやふぐ等のフライを購入しました。串焼きの店では、チチコと牛肉の串を購入しました。田中鮮魚店とは反対側入口の八百屋のお父さんは、不機嫌そうな顔で店番をしていました。なので、お客さんは通りすぎるばかりでした。こういう観光地でそれではダメですね！　置いている物も地の物じゃないと…。ずっと前には、焼き鳥屋があったと思うのですが、ここ何年か見ていないです。あの頃の方が活気があって良かったのですが…。猪の肉や、タレなんかを売ってた店も閉まっていたのか？無くなったのか？　イマヒトツ、盛り上がりに欠けてます。駐車場へ向かう途中、自転車の魚売り(毎回お客さんがいる)で、大きな生の鰹をまるまる一本買っていた人がいました。計ってみて４６００グラムか、６４００グラムか忘れたけど、１２０００円と言っていました。安いんだと思いますし、鮮度バリバリでいいですね！
