A Serene and Luxurious Stay in the Lap of Nature

I had the pleasure of staying for two nights at an exceptional accommodation nestled in a picturesque setting near Kawaguchiko Station. It's a mere 17-minute taxi ride away, which costs around 4000 yen, or you can opt for a bus ride followed by a refreshing walk down a beautiful, tree-lined avenue.

One of the highlights of this place is its peaceful, remote location. The tranquility of the night and the sweet symphony of the forest birds by day, viewable right from your window, provide a tranquil backdrop that soothes your soul.

The staff's warm hospitality stands out. They are exceedingly friendly and proactive, ever ready to assist in any way possible. The property also maintains a Line profile – a communication platform popular in Japan – to reach out to them beyond reception hours.

What made my stay truly luxurious and relaxing were the outstanding amenities. I indulged in a rejuvenating session at the local onsen, explored some intriguing sights nearby such as the Ice cave, and hiked the nearby mountain for a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji. Conveniently, there is a village store adjacent to the onsen, filled with delightful local produce.

The in-house dining experience was excellent. They offer delectable food with the option of vegan or vegetarian meals upon request. It's worth noting that dining costs are separate, so if you prefer not to avail of their food services, it's better to communicate this upfront to avoid unexpected costs at the end.

The property also boasts a sauna, a whirlpool, and even a movie night setup with a projector and screen – all adding to the enjoyable and relaxed ambiance.

Gran Tocoro has out done itself🥰. The cottage is spacious, clean, and comfortable. It could easily accommodate up to 8 people. The private deck and patio are a fabulous way to comfortably enjoy the outdoors in a peaceful and serene area😍. The deck area has a grill, sink, large table and chairs. The best part is the jacuzzi ♨️and sauna🧖‍♀️, especially after hiking all day. We got the meal plan 🥙🥘🍲🥖which includes breakfast and dinner. The food was plentiful and tasty. There was something for everyone 😋 Taka-san and Hiro-san delivered and explained how to properly prepare the evening meals. The patio area provides more space for lounging, enjoying nature, pets, etc. The staff are exceptional👍🏾👌. Yuki-san assisted us with our Wind Cave and Ice Cave tour reservations. My friends and I had an incredible stay at Gran Tocoro at the end of our Japan trip. The location is incredible as it has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and is tucked off of any main roads giving a feeling of tranquility.

As soon as we got to our room, we were in awe, the rooms appear to be very new or extremely well maintained with plenty of amenities. I personally enjoyed the loft area to sleep and hang out. We opted for the meal plan and we were not disappointed, I had a blast cooking up a meal for my friends with fresh delicious ingredients.

The staff here are on another level, and made sure at every step that we were accommodated. They are incredibly kind and helpful.
