Shiga Station — Local services in Otsu

I don't know who is responsible for that stupid action. Was it JR, or Otsu City, or Shiga prefecture? Whoever is responsible was not thinking of the residents of Kido area who commute from Shiga station, and need a place to park their cars. I would not be surprised if Biwako Valley Resort bribed officials, so that customers could not use the free parking at the station and take the shuttle bus, instead of their paid parking at the resort. Small station, get here for the shuttle bus to Biwako Valley shuttle bus. It's worth mentioning that there is a bakery right outside of the station worth visiting. Also, there is a ski equipment rental shop right outside of the station as well. They offer free shuttle to Biwako Valley if you rent ski equipment from them, and the total price is much cheaper than rentals at Biwako. I remember it's 3300 yen or so for full equipment rental (5000 at Biwako), plus free shuttle service (330 per trip). Check it out if you're about to go skiing...
