Shibukawa Shrine — Local services in Owariasahi

平安時代以前に起源を持つとされる格式の高い神社である。延喜式神名帳に掲載された式内社であり、古事記や日本書紀に登場する高皇産霊神を御祭神としている。名鉄瀬戸線の印場駅から徒歩5分程度、というアクセスのよいところにあるのも、この神社の特徴の一つと言える。 とは言え、祭事でもない限り休日でもこの神社は閑散としており、参拝客も多くない。歴史こそ古いものの、何度か火災による建物の焼失と再建を繰り返しているため、社殿を始めとする各建物はかなり新しい。それでも、地域住民に永く愛され守られてきた神社であるからか、特に拝殿は堂々した風格を漂わせており、境内もきれいに保たれている。 境内もそれ程広くなく、周遊するだけであれば30分程度で済む。社務所から拝殿にかけてスロープが設置されているため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方でも気軽に参拝できる工夫がなされている（それでも境内の多くの場所には砂利が敷かれているため、車椅子の使用者はその箇所は避けて通らなければならない）。

It's a highly prestigious shrine that is said to have its origins before the Heian period. It's a shiki-uchi-sha listed in the Engi-shiki Shinmei-cho, and its deities are mentioned in the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters) and Nihonshoki (Chronicles of Japan). One of the characteristics of this shrine is its easy accessibility: it's only a five-minute walk from Inba Station on the Meitetsu Seto Line. However, the shrine is deserted even on holidays unless there is a festival, and there are not many worshippers. Although the shrine has a long history, it has been destroyed by fire and rebuilt several times, so the buildings, including the main shrine pavilion, are fairly new. Nevertheless, the shrine has been loved and protected by local residents for a long time, and the worship hall in particular has an imposing appearance, and the shrine precincts are well kept. 訪問したさい、女性が社務所の前を 履き清掃をされています。 その女性の穏やかに作業される姿は、 幸せそうで、これは、奉納であり 『祈り』でもあるのだろう。 そう感じる光景でした。

創祀1900年という長い歴史の中で、 地理的にも戦乱が多くあった地域ですので、 『消失』と『再建』は繰り返されました。 その度、宮司や氏子たちは、力を合わせ また、時の権力者、織田信長 二代尾張藩藩主・徳川光友なども力を貸し その苦難を乗り越えて行きます。

神道は古代イスラエルより伝わり、 無教祖・無教義・無戒律・無偶像が基本で、 『祈り』という行動のみ定則があります。

そして、この度も澁川神社は『祈り』を 復活させることができました。 古代から続く鉄の結束は、 地域の氏神様として崇拝される、 澁川神社を蘇らせました。
