So it's a used tire shop with a lot of retro vending machines! Actually really neat if you are in the area. Not sure I would add this to my itinerary if I was to visit Japan.
An absolute great selection of old machines, some video games, and other nostalgia. I lived here 30 years ago and remember when you could get beer, whisky, or sake from a vending machine. So seeing the beer machines made me smile. And they are all zero alcohol if you were wondering.
The soba, hamburger and canned yakitori machines blew my mind a bit. Had never seen those before, but were interesting none the less.
I did get some frosted animal crackers and an Orion Cider. My wife was making fun of me and telling me it was all gaijin there. But this time, it was roughly 95% nihonjin, maybe because of the holiday. And only one instagramer... God those people can be irritating.
So, it's also a used tire shop. A great selection of used tires and rims. I am looking for a set of snow tires for my Cube if I go to Kawaguchi-ko this winter, so I might be back.
Go here once. Knock it off your list. It is...
Read moreA ride out from Akiba, Tokyo and... wow. Yeah, it takes a while to get out into Kanagawa Prefecture. Is it worth the trek? Certainly if you want to spend a day out of Tokyo, but it takes a long time to get out here, and a long time to get back. Plan your trip and your commute for maximum enjoyment.
Tons and tons of vending machines from the Showa era and perhaps even older. As well as plenty of items that are being sold here. You can buy batteries, udon, curry, soft drinks, frozen desserts, prepackaged noodles, and a lot more.
To be completely candid, the food machines smell pretty awful, but the food coming out of them is piping hot and eaten by many. I have no concern about food safety.
In addition to the vending machine park, there's also an arcade, in which you can exchange a 1000 yen note for some 100 yen coins.
A handful of the machines didn't work, however, they should still give your money back if you trigger the coin reject. Inside the tire mart, you can also find some decommissioned vending machines, but they are not plugged in and will...
Read moreI wouldn't go again. Everything was just ok. The coolest part was that it has glass bottle coke machine with a bottle opener on the machine! Alot of items were sold out and the ones they had were ok. If you go you should get any noodle dish.(forgot to take a pic of that) don't get the frozen soup dumplings, those are disappointing as there's only a microwave and even when steamed it was so doughy. Pricewise for is like 300-1,000¥ and it's ok. There was a sign saying that there's a change machine and 1 toilet, but I didn't check it out so I can't confirm if there was or not. (It's on the other side of the vending machines . ) The bus trip and long train rides from central Tokyo was meh. Not worth it in my opinion. Also don't go on a Sunday as it will be packed (arrived at 4:00) and there is limited...
