AEON MALL KITATODA — Local services in Toda

The AEON Mall for this June trip!

Compared to Makuhari Shintoshi, getting here involves a bus transfer and a ride from Ikebukuro main station. But that's a price I'm willing to pay to visit AEON. 🥲 The bus service also happens to terminate here.

Our routine is to familiarise with the floor plan, looking out for interesting shops, eateries and stuff we can buy back to cook in our Airbnb.

We would check out apparel, travel goods, discounted goods on level 2, before ending our day at the supermarket.

If you live near this area you will be lucky because you can buy anything in this place. Fruits and vegetables area start from the morning is open. You can eat in the first floor and the second floor, there are so many restaurants in here. Clean area, you can also access free wifi around here, you can sit in the first floor. 付近に、川口アリオ、川口キャラ、川口ララガーデンなど、大型商業施設は多いが、映画館が無い事を除けば、地域最大規模のショッピングモール。

1F～3Fまであり、1Fが、総合スーパーマーケットとスタバ、ファストフードや惣菜店、2Fが衣料品、女児向けファッション、ゲーセン、3Fに、山野楽器、スポーツオーソリティー、ビレッジヴァンガード、Patty's 等の各分野ごとの専門店が入っている。

駐車場も広く、自転車置場は施設1Fの軒先エリアにある。 場所によっては、屋根付きになるので、雨が降ってもとりあえず濡れずに済む。

最近、戸田・川口・蕨エリアのスポーツ用品店が撤退の趨勢にあり、手近なバスケットボール用品の身繕いに苦労しているので、少し自宅けら遠いが、スポーツオーソリティーのバスケグッズの品揃えを偵察に行きました。

結論から言うと、ランニング向けは、他のショッピングモール同様、比較的充実しているが、バスケやバレー向けのやや凝った志向なものは全然置いてなかったです。

サッカーと野球のコーナーは、それぞれ独立してありましたが、多分、各スポーツをやりこんでおられる方には、それでも少し物足りないのではなかろうか…と感じました。

バスケコーナーほど、窮々とはしないかもですが。。

バスケコーナーは、子供向け志向なのかな…と。 19.0cm～ のシューズも取扱いがありそうだったし、140-160cm向けのジャージ・トレーナーズボンがそこそこ置いてあったので。
