Fish and Bird — Local services in Tokyo

Probably one of the best climbing experience I have ever had. I am not local, just decided to pop by and climb a little while on vacation, and was really impressed. I climbed for 2+ hours, and it honestly flew by. The place is super cosy, and they opened all the doors and windows to let the fresh air in (this is during spring time so the weather was nice and cooling too, it seems like there is also air conditioning for the summer times). The staff are also super friendly, I am not a particularly good climber (around V1/2), and they would come up to me to talk me through the possible betas and how I can improve, even though I did not buy any special guidance tour or package or anything. As one of the few foreigners in the gym, it really made me feel right at home. The boulders are also interesting, a little more old-school than new style dynos/parkour and all (I don’t particularly love the parkour stuff so I’m fine with that). The wall height didn’t intimidate me or anything, and I am someone who is pretty afraid of heights so I think the height of the wall should be fine for most! Not the shortest of walls, but not super high either (quite the sweet spot I would say). Some say the boulders are graded tougher here but to be honest I couldn’t really tell, not that it matters anyways, it was great training nonetheless. I didn’t even get to try out the boulders on the second floor, but they look good and there are also some hang boards there too, which was nice as a post session thing. Quite a shame I live in a completely different country, but if I ever come back to Tokyo, I will definitely...

Loved this place. Staff and climbers are very friendly and I had a great/easy time even though English wasn't spoken much. There's hangboards, micro crimps, campus boards, stretching areas, code lock lockers, water stations, etc. Lots of fans and some AC too.

The upper floor has spray walls, which I'm not used to but the tapping is very clear. Great setting and lots...

One day visit on September 3, 2024. Great gym with different varieties of problems that are challenging and fun. The gym comes with lots of amenities. Can feel the great community atmosphere while visiting. Great staff with superb customer service that goes above and beyond. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to try...
