A very disappointing stay in the last leg of our Japan trip. Stayed in similar hotel setups in Kyoto and Fukuoka for a fraction of the price paid in SG Premium Kasai ($350+/night for 5 nights) and SG scores very low on hygiene, usability and comfort.
As soon as we enter the apartment, we see hair spread on the floor across the living room, kitchen, near bathroom etc. Doubt there was any cleaning after the previous guest checked out.
The sofa in the living room has a stain (long dried) that is spread at least a third of the seat cushion size.
The washing machine has no dryer function (ignore wind drying feature on it) - the fair part is while booking, the property did not make any claim on the dryer being available. But the concern here is the towels/linen that are provided for a 5 day stay are chargeable if you want to swap them out for any fresh supply of linen. One could theoretically wash the towels on your own (property does provide free detergent) for long stays, however in this cold weather how will the towels dry on time for next day? And if I'm supposed to chaperone washing and drying the towels when should I wash and dry my own clothes.
For cooking, no cooking utensils are provided (ignore the cutlery for eating). The gas/oven top needs 100% flat surface contact of the pan - otherwise it will not light/heat up. The pan we got from our home doesn't work and the property hasn't provided any pan from their side. Of course the kitchen also felt dirty and we did our best to wipe it on our own. The fridge crisper (basket for keeping vegetables) had stains from god knows when and we did our best in scrubbing some of the dried stuff out.
It's a shame that our worst hotel experience is in the capital of the country. Wouldn't recommend this place
PS: missed to add - toilet seat had yellow...
