We chose Best Western first for the rate because our honeymoon trip needed some budget. This hotel is located in the suburb of Tokyo and is only 30 min from Tokyo Station where you can board in Shinkansens. The hotel is deserved by Tozai Line which is a good platform (200m from the hotel).||We arrived around 8pm, check-in was fast unless our request was not really spread out to different department.||Indeed, I contacted Reservations Staff to get 2 boxes for breaekfast since we had one day trip in Osaka and we had to leave hotel at 5am. ||Reservations Staff approved our request. However at the reception, they didn't know what we were talking about and looks like there was mis-communication between Reservations and Front office. i was obliged to show up conversation to prove my sincerity. It needed 10 min to clear it. Finally they ask to inform us before 5pm which day we want to organize that. So it was fine.||Anyway we arrived in the bedroom and were surprised about it. Not the size since it was small (but we knew already from Booking.com and from Reservation who warned about it). They made a beautiful set-up for our honeymoon we were very happy. Bedroom was with TV (but we never touch it since we had no time to watch it), we appreciate amenities in bathroom (Shower Gel, Conditioner, Shampoo in bottles). Normally we find them small like tester. No it was fine. Our bathroom could fit 2 only. Bathroom was small but was okay for our honeymoon. It made spicy honeymoon:). One minus was air vent. I am 190cm and that was dusty. Need to be clean a bit. ||We enjoyed breakfast buffet. It was appreciated because we could eat japanese breakfast everyday and that's what we were looking for. Being merged in Japan and forget burgers, fast food, pizza and international food. Breakfast was boiled eggs, kinds of omelette (cube), seaweed, little sausages, look like braised salad, orange jam, strawberry jam, honey, bread, croissant, pain au chocolat, fresh juice, coffee, hot water with selection of tea. ||One day we informed before 5pm front office staff to get breakfast box and they didn't know about it (AGAIN). We were obliged to open phone to show up conversation. ||My tips for this enquiry : put request from guests in the system in order not to meet lack of communication. It becomes unhappy for guests and lose time for staff... ||||Otherwise, our honeymoon stay at Best Western was wonderful. Staff is helpful, smily, polite, and...
Read moreI was expecting cozy when I saw the picture of the double-sized bed room but the reality was ridiculous. The room was so small it did not fit our 2 carry-on luggages. We had to line them by the wall. To get dressed one person had to open their luggage on the floor and the other near the bed. There were no drawers or closets. There was not enough room to even pass each other. The bathroom had a cable feeding water to the sink and the shower, so you had to chose your setting meaning the other person had no access to water while you shower. The restroom only fit one person anyway. We had to check if the other was behind the door when exiting the bathroom so we wouldnt hit them with the door. The room was clean but we chose not to have the cleaning staff come in for the week because there was no room to store our stuff so they kept leaving bags of towels by the door which accumulated and we returned. There's a folding table in the room with no real use due to space. There's a chair tucked into the desk which if we did use the other person would have to climb the bed to cross. Breakfast was not complimentary and overpriced. There's a better place around the corner to the right of the family mart which sells delicious affordable breakfast. Overall the room size issue was exacerbated as we purchased souvenirs or when we were in a hurry to get ready. The day we went to Disney they booked our shuttle. It fills up so book a few days before. Evening pick up for the shuttle is inconvenient as they don't pick up at the park, instead you have to pay for the monorail 1 stop then find your shuttle.
The only good thing about this hotel was location. It was 3 minutes from the Tozai line Nishikasai train station. The train connected to all major lines within a few stops. Most sites were 20-40 minutes away entirely by reliable subway. Avoid that famous Tokyo...
Read moreMy family and I, 4 persons, booked 2 rooms and stayed here for 2 nights during our recent trip to Tokyo in Aug 2018. We like the location here very much, only 5 mins of walking to Nishikasai Subway Station. Yes, it's not in the heart of Shinjuku or Shibuya but very convenient to access there included the main attractions by Tokyo Subway.
We stay in Superior Twin Room (18 sq. m.), rooms were clean and slightly bigger than normal Tokyo hotels. Great value for money. Bed was very comfy and air con works well. In addition, all guestrooms feature a variety of comforts. Many rooms even provide television LCD/plasma screen, air purifier, carpeting, clothes rack, complimentary instant coffee to please the most discerning guest. What made I like this place even more is lots of power sockets in-room which very useful for travelers who has many gadgets like us. There're vending machine, ice machine and laundry machine in the hotel as well. The hotel also provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms, 24-hour security, laundromat, taxi service, daily housekeeping to ensure our guests the greatest comfort.
There're a few convenient stores nearby the hotel e.g. 7/11, Lawson and Family Mart as well as many restaurants and drug store. We tried yakiniku at the restaurant in Metro Centre right under Nishikasai Subway Station, it's very very delicious!
In short, super great value for money with convenient location and free shuttle bus to Disney! Really recommend this place and would come back if we have another...
