Italian Kitchen VANSAN Kasai — Restaurant in Tokyo

The place looks nice and rustic but it’s somehow dark,which makes the restaurant to spend on energy to keep it light up. In times that run I personally became very sensitive to observe if the places i go try to save energy.

The food was good, portions are small but very delicious, the pizza tasted excellent. The soup coming with the salad was ridiculously small..

Attention because if you like spicy pasta, it will really become spicy if you ask for the +++ spicy!

The staff was nice but a little hard to deal with. When asked for a knife, the first reply was to eat by hand! Unbelievable! No English spoken. Indirect refusal to get orders from a foreigner face by not looking or not listening.

The place has an application and asks the clients to order from the app even with a very low number of costumers, we felt uncomfortable with it and asked the waiter directly. When paying, the waiter tried again to use the machine. 😔 but we prefer a more personal treatment. Got the sensation the staff doesn’t like to treat the clients. When asked to improvise a happy birthday plate, the letters were capital letters. Check the photo section and you can find it.

Outside tables were dirty but warmed up (spending energy) without anyone sitting in the esplanada.

Was surprised to see baby food on the menu so as children meals. We didn’t try it so I can’t tell about...

I have Italian background and I 've eaten much better Italian food. We ended up going home hungry after a risoto and pizza. ( and I am slim 55kg dont eat much... When we did check out they over charged 700 iens for the entrance apperitive ( 2 slices of salame in a very small plate ) which we didn't ordered and they put it in our table so we asked to discount it. I've been here many many years ago, so I didn't remember how it was. The other day, my mom, husband, niece, her husband, and her kid had lunch here for celebrating our birthdays because 3 of us were in August. First of all, service was extremely slow, and top of that dishes came randomly, especially main dishes :my husband dish came ahead of everybody else. A part of appetizers, there was tomato soup which was weirdly weak tomato water. salad was good. main was extremely salty even my mom who loves salt said to me. mine was bit gritty clams, but pasta was good texture. panna cotta was just milk flavor jello. The best part was pizza covered icecream and berry sauce with candle! ( Again bit salty dough though) Not coming back...
