Located at the botton of the Mount Tsukuba Ropeway/at the Tsutsujigaoka Bus Stop is the ガマ(蟇)大明神 Gama Daimyojin, a Shinto shrine celebrating the toad imagery of the twin peaked Tsukuba Mountain. The large toad above (on the hill side) is a modified natural outcrop. There is a torii in front of the toad as well as a small shrine sanctuary. The sign on the shrine is too weathered to read.
The lower sneering toad is a giant sculpture. There are numerous additional small figures around both large toads. In the palm of the sneering toad.
Next to the sneering toad is a white stone fist with a sign: テレビ放送不思議? TV broadcast wonder? にぎ(握)り石,山中より出土 Nigiri stone, excavated from the mountain 石をなでると幸せになれます〪 Stroking the stone makes you happy〪
