Located at the botton of the Mount Tsukuba Ropeway/at the Tsutsujigaoka Bus Stop is the ガマ(蟇)大明神 Gama Daimyojin, a Shinto shrine celebrating the toad imagery of the twin peaked Tsukuba Mountain. The large toad above (on the hill side) is a modified natural outcrop. There is a torii in front of the toad as well as a small shrine sanctuary. The sign on the shrine is too weathered to read.

The lower sneering toad is a giant sculpture. There are numerous additional small figures around both large toads. In the palm of the sneering toad.

Next to the sneering toad is a white stone fist with a sign: テレビ放送不思議? TV broadcast wonder? にぎ(握)り石,山中より出土 Nigiri stone, excavated from the mountain 石をなでると幸せになれます〪 Stroking the stone makes you happy〪

Additional/Specific benefits of stroking the white stone fist. 媼ケ峰 Baagamine 子玉 (kodama) 母子安泰 (boshi antai) mother and child safety 福寿繁栄 (fukuju han'ei) longevity and prosperity 家内安全 (kanai anzen) family safety 無病息災 (mubyō...
