Bessho Onsen Stone Bath — Local services in Ueda

Local cozy onsen, also ¥150 (will soon be ¥200 from June 1, 2022) like the nearby Daishiyu, also bring your own soap.

True to its name, I really liked its bath lined with rocks. There are also a few underwater jets that make it feel like a jacuzzi.

The water with a strong sulfur smell and rich in minerals made me feel super refreshed after a soak. Pleasant to go even on an early summer day like...

地元の方も多く使う共同風呂です。 たし湯、加熱、ろ過循環させていない硫黄泉です。このクオリティで安価なのでおすすめです。

入浴料200円。内湯のみ。浴槽は5名も浸かれば窮屈かな?というコンパクトさ。お湯が結構高温で、長湯は難しいのでそんなに混雑しなさそうです。

カラン5セットほどに、シャワーが1つ（洗髪専用) 備え付けの洗剤等はありません。受付で購入するか、持参する必要があります。 ロッカーは20〜30個あり、鍵付きロッカーも10個ほどあります。ヘアドライヤーは5分100円です。全体的に丁寧に掃除されている感じがして、清潔感がありました。

9月の土曜、16時ころ訪問して、2 3名が入浴していました。

It's a local communal bath. lt's budget-friendly, making it a recommended choice.

Admission fee: 200 yen. Indoor bath only, which can comfortably accommodate about 5 people at a time. The water is quite hot, you cannot stay in the water for long time. So it doesn't seem to get too crowded.

There are about 5 taps and one shower (for hair washing only). They don't provide toiletries, so you'll need to purchase them at the reception or bring your own. There are around 20-30 lockers, including some with keys. Hairdryers are available for 100 yen for 5 minutes. Overall, it gives a sense of thorough cleanliness and a feeling of hygiene.

別所の公衆浴場は3つ（大湯、大師湯、石湯）ありますが、その中で最もお気に入りです。

2019年の定休日は添付の写真の通りです。

駐車場は道路を挟んで反対側にあり、10台ほど停められます。

大湯は露店風呂があり、大師湯と石湯は内風呂のみです。

入湯税は3歳以上は子供も大人も150円で、2歳以下が無料です。入り口横の券売機で購入し、受付に券を渡して入ります。下駄箱は鍵付きのものではなく置くだけのタイプです。

また貴重品入れがありますが、かなり小さいので貴重品は持っていかないことをお勧めします。

更衣室は狭く3人着替えると一杯になります。また、男湯にはドライヤーはありません。

男湯はシャワーが一本もないため、オケに湯と水を混ぜて体を洗います。いつも、頭だけはオケに湯をためて流して、体は湯船のお湯に入れて流します。

蛇口から出るお湯も温泉のため、硫黄の香りがします。温泉付きにはたまりませんね。

またお湯の温度は少し高めで、10分もしないうちに熱くてあがります。真冬で外気温がマイナス5度の時でも体がポカポカします。

建物内には飲み物の自販機はありませんが、道路を挟んだ反対側にあります。

公共交通機関で来る場合、別所線の別所駅から歩いて10分ほど登った場所にあります。

バックパックを抱えて徒歩で訪れるなら、石湯よりも近い「大湯」がオススメです。
