Uwajima City Date Museum — Local services in Uwajima

Not all of the original castles and castle towns have a lot of artifacts left that link them to their history or residents. So, I was glad I could go visit this little museum showcasing some of those items; whether it be clothing, armor, artworks or writings. It all makes the history come a bit more to life.

All items had a title translation into English, but the full description was only in Japanese. Google Translate is useful to have if you're a foreigner. They do have an English flyer at the entrance though. And there was no fee to visit!

主に伊達家に所蔵されていたものの展示がされています 藩主家や、藩政のことを知りたかったので、自分の趣旨違いなのですが、これが南海の伊達だ！！　的なものも見せられたらいいですね

ただ刊行物が充実しています 本当はもっと買いたかったのですが、我慢して2点だけにしましたー！　あー！　買えばよかった！！ 本なんて買ってから後悔することほとんどないですよね 逆に買わなかった後悔は日々大きくなる、、、と林真理子さんのようなことを言ってみたり

駅からは宇和島城を挟んで反対側にあるので、車でない方は宇和島城を見てから行くと効率よさそうです 車の方は広い駐車場があったのでご心配なく

目当ての展示はなかったですが、落ち着いた空間に広々と展示がされており、審美眼を鍛えるには恰好のスポットです 暑いさなかも空調がきっちり効いているのは、それだけ展示物に貴重なものが多いからでしょう！
