Children's town — Local services in Ventspils

Really great place for children - 5 stars!

However security staff (on children playground!) need a have some pedagogical training. Their approach to children scaries them. Additionally the old guy (who should be wearing clown cloths or be more children oriented), is a bit aggressive with its duties. After being there for 1,5h with children I saw him reacting against children behaving vs. Playground quite aggressively in result people were leaving. And thing the guy speaks by default Russian (even know some notions of LV/LT) and no other language (EN, DE, FR etc).

This person should be moved to different...

This year we found it renovated, all playgrounds have soft ground floor which replaced sand. If it's hot outside smell from artificial covering is not nice. But anyway this is superb plays for kids with playgrounds and other possibilities (WC, small place to eat, kiosk where icecream and coffee are sold etc.). It is worth mentioning that area is separated from the road and monitored by very friendly person who takes care that everyone...

Crazy place. A black hole for children. It sucks them in and time becomes nil: suddenly it’s an hour, two, a day... Same with space because covering distance doesn’t seem to burn energy anymore for those little guys.

Take a book or two with you if your kid can handle yourself...
