RUD Karting - Gamuda Cove — Local services in Selangor

RUD has consistently provided the best go-karts and tracks, maintaining them exceptionally well and continuously finding ways to enhance and expand the experience. It has long been my go-to venue for go-karting. However, today's experience was disappointing and has made me reconsider.

Our session began after a moderate rain, leaving the track wet. As novices who have only raced on dry tracks, we knew the conditions would be different, so we opted for the electric karts, which had reduced power and seemed like a sensible choice.

However, Jay, who was serving us, insisted that electric karts were for kids and unsuitable for wet tracks. He pushed us towards the more expensive petrol karts, which felt like a blatant upsell attempt (I kinda expected this already because every staff i have encountered never once recommend electric and always pushed for petrol, without fail) His reasoning was unconvincing, as electric karts are perfectly capable for adult use, and the track, while wet, was not in a state that would warrant such a strong recommendation against them.

Jay suggested that we purchase three sessions with the petrol karts, with the option to defer two if we struggled with the track conditions. This recommendation was impractical, as we were uncertain about our comfort and safety on the wet track. His focus seemed solely on maximizing our expenditure, without considering our actual needs. Safe to say, our decision to go with just one session was correct. Controlling the petrol karts proved difficult particularly in the wet areas. While it would have been fine, the experience was far less enjoyable compared to our previous sessions on a dry track. I can only imagine how frustrating it would have been if we had purchased three sessions as Jay suggested.

Moreover, when I inquired about any special promotions—specifically one for Tesla owners that I knew existed—Jay initially denied that there were any offers. It was only after I mentioned owning a Tesla that he acknowledged the promotion, which should have been disclosed upfront, not hidden away.

Jay's approach to customer service was disappointing, unprofessional, rude, and condescending. He seemed to believe he was superior, yet struggled to clearly explain the differences between electric and petrol karts, often contradicting himself and causing confusion. He lacked the tact and consideration expected at a venue as reputable as RUD. I urge Gamuda RUD to provide additional customer service training for staff, particularly Jay, to ensure that the experience for loyal customers like myself remains positive...

RUD Karting at Gamuda Cove is by far the best go-kart experience near KL and Selangor! The 320m track is a perfect mix of sharp turns, elevation changes, and chill sections—memang thrill habis. Safety is top-notch; they provide a detailed briefing, balaclavas, and even a sporty hoodie for hijabis to ensure everyone is comfortable and secure. The karts are divided into electric for kids and petrol for adults, making it super family-friendly.

The vibe here feels premium and exclusive, from the digital ticketing system to the modern briefing room with helmets and a spotlighted kart display. The staff, especially Boss Iman, are amazing—he’s super friendly and made us feel like pro racers, even during a minor accident when he literally ran and pushed us back on track macam Tom Cruise!

At RM75 for 10 minutes, it’s pricier than other go-kart places in KL, but the vibe, service, and premium experience SUMPAH WORTH IT. There’s ample parking, and although the surrounding roads are a bit bumpy due to construction, it’s safe and manageable. The place is very well setup with the second floor serving as cafe and chill spot with air conditioning. Food and drinks are worth its price!

Been here twice and this place does not disappoint. As an enthusiast I love the technical challenge the track brings and I can see my friends and family also enjoying this even just for fun. The slopes and tight corners make the whole track very engaging. Cannot wait to be back again.

I’d like to also give a special shoutout to one of their employees, Jay, who has nothing but an absolute help in getting me comfortable with the place quickly and showing me the ropes in familiarising the track. I can truly say that his commitment to service and his passion for the sport is hard to come by and I always look forward to seeing him!
