Kudos for Gamuda and the event team for planning such an amazing event for the neighbourhood's family to experience a long lost feeling of family bonding time. It's not a new thing since, in my personal experience, every single developer is doing similar event to pull crowds into their yards.
However, for some unknown reason, it's kinda weird for them to plan the details in such a way. Why would I say this you may ask.
First, knowingly that your target audience comprises mostly individual who have family, meaning kids will be around, why would you have all the kids activities on the lower ground? Away from the main show unit and gated area. Instead, the area is just right beside the lake with minimum safeguard for their safety.
Secondly, I am not too sure if you know about the direction of sun going in a day, but you should know that facing west for most of your facet will results in incredibly hot environment. Unless you are letting people in after 5pm in the afternoon then it's fine, but please try to experience it yourself if you are the one expected to "enjoy" your time here under the sun in 40° celsius. I dare you.
Third, what in the earth is the strategy for you to station your activities so far apart? Do you hope to get customers to your the whole place while trying to have fun? If so, then next time please consider not having so less stations, cause it will be very frustrating to walk for a long period of time just to play something and having to walk a long distance again for some. At least if I know I will have more in between I would appreciate the distance more.
Forth, do you live in Malaysia? Do you know the weather during these times of year? Why would there none water station in between the park for people convinience? Even you have vendor station there it's still better than none.
Overall it's still not a too unpleasant experience, just that being such a huge corporate, I would expect more from you when you held events. Not to offend anyone, but to put things into perspective, you may look into how Ecoworld does their event planning a...
Read moreVisited on a cool and somewhat cloudy morning. It was threathening to drizzle and a day after long public holiday weekend so there weren't too many people. My perfect day for the outdoors in short. There's so much to do and see at the gardens. A family of 3 adults and 2 kids under 8, we skipped the bumper car, carousel, solar ride and the wet themepark for the lake. We rented bikes and spent a few hours to the right of the entrance, stopping along the way to explore the tower and kids playground amongst others. It's a really huge park. We didn't manage to cover the left of the park on this occassion. Incidentally, this is a pet friendly park - spotted only one dog owner with his fur kid in a pram. Also saw a swimming pool adjacent to the wet themepark - for our next visit. Public toilet to the far right were still under fit-out - the area should be cordoned off with public safety signage. Nevertheless, it was a great discovery morning. Kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Worked up a great...
Read moreCame for a wedding event at D Pavillion at late evening. Google did not take us to the right place and we were then guided by the securities at the shopping area. This place is a new area and a bit quite. The wedding hall is moderate in size but beautifully decorated. The designated parking bays are very few and people just park as they like.
The foods were just ok but desserts were placed outside the hall, at the entrance area and not very convenient for guest to bring in. I would suggest if they could put a few tables and chairs for guest to sit and enjoy the desserts before going back. There are many stray dogs running around outside the hall that make us scared and we quickly get into the car to avoid them.
We went to the shopping area nearby to perform prayers. The area was so quite and a little bit scary. We then left the area quickly. The atmosphere might not be the same during the...
