I found Freddy on Trip Advisor by coincidence, although was it? I am very picky generally and went through a lot of reviews on numerous sites to find the right guide for my family. We were looking for a guide to visit the 7 cascades (also commonly known as Tamarind Falls) which is located near the small village of Henrietta, on the highlands West of Mauritius. My wife, our two sons (11 and 8 years old) and I had one of the best days thanks to Freddy from Motrek Adventures. His knowledge and caring nature made the difference. Don't be fooled by many other so called guides out there who not only are not certified but can't even get in the water with you if you end up in a bit of strive. Freddy has all the qualifications you need and makes safety his number one priority. He went above and beyond. He really cares about what he does. His friendly and consultative approach coupled with his extensive knowledge and experience were invaluable to us. We even had other tour groups asking us about our day as they saw how much we were doing in comparison with them. I sensed a bit of envy on their part. Amazing! If there were an option to give 10 stars, I would give them 10. Darill and Amit were very professional, fun, and genuine. We did the abseiling activity at Las 7 Cascades with our family of 2 adults+2 kids (15 and 12 years old). We all had a great time. Initially, I was adamant that I would not do the jump at the end, but somehow they gave me so much confidence that I just went for it without any hesitation and I loved it!!!

There was never any pressure for us to stretch ourselves and do something we didn’t feel safe doing. The place is stunning; we had the opportunity to see it from a unique angle. I had the best experience with these guys. The job they have done helping us (me and my 11 yo daughter who felt unsure on this uneasy road) with track to La Morne mountain is amazing. We are very thankful. I can strongly recommend this agency for the guides organizational skills and their patience on work with kids. Guide told us many interesting about the history of Mauritian island, about a tragical and brave history of this mountain.
