Jiro Sushi — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. First, no one was there to help us when we arrived, we waited for what felt like forever, with no staff in sight, before finally being seated. Once we were at our table, the staff seemed completely uninterested in helping us, we sat there wondering if someone was going to come. After finally placing our orders, we were left for another 30 minutes before the food even arrived – and it wasn’t even worth the wait .To top it off, I didn’t receive my drink until we were nearly finished with our lunch. It was clear that the staff was disorganized and didn’t seem to care about the customers. I won’t be returning and wouldn't recommend this...

Had sushis and chicken ramen. The chicken in the ramen felt like old frozen chicken nuggets. The broth was a bit bland. In general it was okay but I’d prefer Sushi Park anytime over Jiro Sushi.

Service was horrible. A lot of commotion inspite of only few tables. The people serving were rushing us to finish our time and leave the place by repeatedly interrupting if we would like to take something more or do the payment. I said i’ll order for tea in around 15 mins since I was full from the food. Since then thrice within 15 minutes the lady kept asking me if I’d take something more. At one point she just brought the card machine. I felt embarrassed in front of my guest by this treatment. Never going...

I ordered salmon sashimi and nigiri (regular and salmon belly), and the salmon belly nigiri was so bad I nearly spat it out. It ended up upsetting our stomachs.

The waitress was very kind and patient. She informed management, who refunded the salmon belly nigiri. I didn’t argue, just mentioned the freshness, and it seemed they were already aware of the issue.

I don’t recommend eating here. It’s very expensive, and you can get much better sushi for the same price elsewhere.
