Chinese Wok Restaurant — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

I was extremely disappointed by the blatant favoritism shown towards lighter-skinned individuals. From the outset, the waiter was rude to us. When we advised him of our Peking duck order, we were met with sarcasm and he concluded that we were not going to order any other food

While ordering our starters, the waiter was impatient and left the table before we even ordered our main course. However, he had no issue waiting patiently and being polite with other tables that took longer to decide.

Despite this, we chose to stay. When we requested to have our food packed, the waiter brought the containers for us to do it ourselves. To our astonishment , we observed him properly packaging the food for other tables.

The obvious disparity in treatment was appalling. We were judged based on our attire, making it clear that individuals perceived to be from a lower class are not welcome in this restaurant(for information we were all professionals in our mid 20s) . Additionally, we noticed discrimination based on our skin color. There were other instances the waiter was rude to us that we are not mentioning.

My lunch at Chinese Wok was an absolute disaster. We ordered two servings of fried noodles, only to receive them combined on a single plate. Despite repeatedly calling the waiter for clarification, they ignored me and acted as if they were too busy, despite the restaurant being practically empty.

I even had to physically raise my hand to get the attention of another waiter, who saw me but chose to ignore me. Finally, when I mustered the courage to ask if the portion was meant for two people, the waiter responded with complete disrespect, as if I was bothering them.

I've worked in customer service for years, and I know this is not how customers should be treated. I didn't come to Chinese Wok to haggle or eat for free. It's clear that your waiters lack proper training and professionalism.

This experience has left me furious. Chinese Wok needs to address these issues immediately. I won't be returning to Chinese...

As soon as we came in the waiter was already making the order for us, our family members were not even seated. Mojito Mojito.! When ordering he laughed at our order. Not to mention he was hurrying us for the order stating that the kitchen was going to be closed in 15 mins. The food came in like 5 mins so all foods are prepared within2-3 minutes? Or just reheating already prepared food? Food was tasteless for a 10k bill not value for money! Specially with the waiter we had! No customer service.
