came for the big Monday market. although open early in the morning, things done really get rolling until around 10ish when everyone has finished setting up. there are stalls at the bazaar but also all along the complete waterfront. you can get fruit and vegetables in the main building, and outside clothes, toys, souvenirs. its really a market for the locals (examples, lots of home products, pyjamas, lingeries, which aren't targeted at the tourists). haggling seems to be common, and generally we were getting everything 30% off of the initial price. best to make a quick stroll around see what you might like and general prices, then come back afterwards to what you really want and ready to bargain for. we didn't feel pressured at any stalls, it can get a bit crowded inside and outside with some bikes and even cars coming in and out. plenty of street parking...
