Relaxing spa with unique features. We stayed at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa for several days and treated ourselves to multiple visits to the Jasha Spa & Salon. Our Marriott status provided us with unlimited use of the spa common facilities, which we enjoyed, and we scheduled massage and salon treatments. The facility sits within the maze of interior walls and walks at the center of the resort; this spa is a bit on the small side but is high-end in the quality of the staff and facilities. Just after checking into the resort, we reviewed the reservations we’d made over the phone weeks earlier with the spa staff and discovered some errors (mainly due to language-based misunderstandings); the staff fixed the errors (TIP: go to the spa and review your reservations right after resort check in). Reception staff for treatments were friendly and attentive, providing us with treatment questionnaires (a bit too lengthy), refreshing drinks, and a tour of the common facilities prior to treatment. The male and female lounge staff were likewise friendly and attentive. The lounges are fully appointed with everything you’d expect of a high-end spa; you can spend a relaxing afternoon in the lounges alone. The center of the facility is open air with a unique lap pool flanked by high walls with infinity view of the ocean at one end, a waterfall pool with varying modes of streaming water, lounge chairs with towels, and cool drinks. The treatment rooms were relaxing and well-appointed with comfortable tables and soothing music. The therapists were friendly and skilled. We wanted to schedule the unique services of the on-staff Temazcalero(a) and experience the ancient Temazcal but were very disappointed to learn the Temazcalero(a) was not on site during our stay. The prices for services were higher than I’d expect and deterred us from availing ourselves of more treatments. Overall, I’d rate Jasha Spa & Salon as a good spa—can be better with a tweaking in prices and improvements to the...
Read moreAlways delightful! The staff are nice and chill. They are always fast to restock towels, tea, snacks and toiletries. Staff is attentive and welcoming which makes the Jasha Spa such a delight and a frequent spa I visit. The spa interior is intentional and Asian inspired design which instantly provides a calm vibe once entering the spa Facility. There are separate inside facilities for women and men and outdoor hydrotherapy is coed. The sauna is infrared and large (two people can lie down and two people can sit), you can smell the cedar wood and evenly heated. The plunge pool is small but icy cold and just perfect. The jacuzzi varies from warm to hot (end to end) with jets at varying levels and seating along jets. The steam room is large and has a rain shower inside, a nice touch. You can really follow the Nordic Spa routine due to the spa's placement of sauna, plunge pool, jacuzzi, steam room and showers. There are many lounging options, few in front of the jacuzzi and water fountain wall (the entire wall has water flowing down it 🙌) which provides a nice and calming sound to the facility. The hydrotherapy is outside and wonderful and the lap pool is a must (the view at the end🌅) There are many loungers outside. One of my favorite and best spa to...
Read moreGorgeous location. Most of the staff is very friendly. However, the pools outside that spa clients can swim in is not heated. You can’t be in it long. It’s hard to enjoy. I had to find someone to turn on the steam room. The jacuzzi was warm not even close to hot. Like bath water. My boyfriend ended up with a very bad headache from his massage. He laid by the cold pool with his eyes shut while I went inside to find headache medicine. They told me I had to leave the spa and walk up into the hotel lobby in my robe to go up to their store and buy some. I did and the store was closed. The manager fernanda said the store worker was “on lunch” at 5 pm and wouldn’t be back until 5:45 pm. I said what should I do? He has a really bad headache. She asked what room I was in. I said I wasn’t staying there and from there she was pretty cold and rude. Told me to walk back up later and try again. Then it took 15 minutes to complete my payment for my services. Not sure why. She held my card in her hand while she talked with other workers and other guests who would just walk up to the counter. All in all, there are way too many high end hotels and spas in this area to spend so much money here. It’s not...
