We wanted a more intimate experience at a smaller winery, and Mina Penelope was a perfect choice. We did a wine tasting (I missed the name of the gal who did our tasting, it’s been a few weeks) but she said she usually worked downstairs in the cooler and didn’t usually do tastings. I don’t know why though because she was so kind annd so knowledgeable, she absolutely made the experience. Best organic vineyard with authentic owners and farm workers. A real vineyard with much history and hard work behind it. So adorable but also cutting edge at the same time! The best place to visit for a big group or traveling solo. Incredible wines with a stunning farm landscape in the background. Includes cute animals as well. Spectacular!!! Both times. The first was w/ my husband and we tasted w/ Valeria. She knew her stuff and was most welcoming. The wine is well made, elegant with mininal intervention. The small private cellar is wonderful to taste in. The second time I was with a group and we were hosted by Veronica, a multi talented wine maker and all around fascinating person.
