On May 13,14 and 16, 2022 We once again hired our favorite Captain and crew for 3, 10 hour days of "Bill Fishing" and again they did not disappoint! They picked us up and returned us @ the resort pier. Day one seemed to be a "warm up" day where my wife caught her personnel best Ahi Tuna (Yellowfin) and several Mahi which we brought back to the resort for our dinning. On day 2 we fished a 500 ft ledge just a few miles off the Cancun beach where we found an abundance of sea life and we knew this was the spot. In short order we were hooked up with more Ahi and Mahi, then it happened, White Marlin crashed the shotgun line and the fight was on. We got it to the boat in about 25 minutes grabbed a quick photo and released it unharmed. Day 3, was a little more exciting as a Blue Marlin came into our bait spread in search of a meal. It finally decided on the left rigger bait as the Omar dropped the bait back and fed it to him, "Fights On" This fish was no joke in comparison to its cousin the White Marlin. It put on a GREAT aerial display and just would not give up even after having the 20 foot leader on the reel 16 times and backing down on it 3 times. Finally after 65 minutes of give and take, it just about fought itself to death, we were able to get it onboard for a photo shot and then return it to the Sea where we spent 10 minutes pulling it by hand to keep water rushing over its gills to revive it which was accomplished and it swam away with nothing more than it's feelings hurt. I spent the next day eating Tylenol and hanging around the pool and A/C. We will always choose "Fish's" for our blue water adventure...

This is a high-quality sport-fishing charter near Cancun! The initial communication with Arturo to get information and book the trip was responsive and easy. I booked an 8-hour trip targeting sailfish, wahoo, mahi, etc. The boat (35ft Bertram I believe) is clean and comfortable. The shade over the "sitting area" was really nice, as sitting inside wasn't an option because of the rough seas. The fishing gear was ok, but worked fine all day. The crew - Arturo and Ohmar worked REALLY hard ALL day as we dealt with VERY rough seas while trolling. On the troll we did manage to catch a very nice wahoo, a barracuda and ton of small bonito. Thankfully the seas eventually calmed down and the bonito ended up being bait for some bottom-fishing we tried late in the day. We did catch few fat triggers and a snapper off the bottom. Overall I do recommend Fish's and will book them again...

We had a great full day fishing trip with Capt Hector on The Fish’s, with First Mate Omar, and second Mate Andres on July 14th. Although we didn’t manage to catch as much live bait as we wanted, nor the Marlin/Sailfish we were aiming for, that’s fishing. We did catch a large 4ft Wahoo and 5 Mahi so the day was definitely a success! The crew had 6-7 lines out at all times; changed up the rigs often; checked the bait; and were attentive when it was “fish on”. It was nice to have a sun shade on the stern of the boat so that we didn’t get fried in the July sun. Boat was stocked with drinks and inside it was clean. Our only complaint is that some reels were not the newest and so the tackle was less than optimal. Captain and crew worked hard all day. All in all, it was a good trip! Thank you Capt Hector,...
