This is NOT a 4 star resort. Long review but I tell it like it is! Read it before booking! When we booked this trip through booking.com this was listed as a 4 star resort so needless to say, we were pretty surprised and disappointed. Read info for rooms below under rooms. As for food… again we were pretty disappointed. There is a buffet for breakfast and dinner. The first night we did buffet dinner. There was very little variety and my kids didn’t eat much. There was a small “kids corner” table that pretty much only had pasta. The buffet breakfast was a bit better. There’s an omelette station which was good cuz we survived on it. There was a fruit station, but literally only had cantaloupe, pineapple, watermelon. There were bananas one day only. And no mangos. There was a few other items that were not memorable but one thing that stood out was there was never any bacon. Hard to mess up breakfast, but I will say it was pretty much the bare minimum. The snack bar had only burgers (although I am not sure of what kind of meat it was, it was definitely not beef), nachos (basically chips and cheese), hotdogs and cheese quesadillas. And you could not take any food outside the restaurant, for example you couldn’t eat by the pool. There were really only 2 restaurants. The outside snack bar turned into an a la carte at night. One day they did Italian and 1 night they do Mexican. The food was good. There were only 2 options for reservation time, either 6:45 or 8:30pm so that gets booked super quick. There is another restaurant by the beach called “Ostras” and again they alternate days between a Caribbean night or international night. The good was excellent. Basically you choose an appetizer, soup or salad, a main and a dessert. The Caribbean night was seafood themed but there was also a chicken and pork dish. For the international night, I had roast beef and ceasar salad and both were delicious!! There are only 2 reservation time at 6pm and 8:30. There is a huge miscommunication between the restaurant and the front desk where you make reservations. We were told by the front desk that it’s an adult only restaurant so we booked a night for my hubby and I. When we were there, we asked the waiter; and he said that kids are allowed for the early reservation, but adults only in the evening. So we ended up booking it with the whole family for the 6pm reservation. In Saturdays, the a la cartes are closed and they have a Mexican night and show. The buffet was a lot better than the regular buffet. But the show was just ok and we ended up early. There is only 1 pool and it’s just ok. It’s overlooking the beach which was nice, but the deck is in bad shape with peeling paint. The pool itself has a lot of missing pool tiles. In fact my youngest daughter cut her leg due to a broken tile. There is VERY little lounge chairs at the pool, like less than 30 and most of them are sunken in. They play several games by the pool and if you win they give away something. There is a game room by the pool that has pool, ping-pong, air hockey and a fuseball table. Everything is old and dated but at least it was working order. We were excited about the waterpark but I didn’t let my kids in there. It opens at 10am and we got there after breakfast and waited for it to open. I noticed the color of the water was off. Then they turned on the water, and this awful smell was overwhelming. It smelled like sewage. We literally turned around and we didn’t go back. They also have a “mini golf” near the waterpark. But they literally use tennis balls for it. In summary, we made the most of it while we were there but we expected more considering the rating of this resort and not to mention how much we paid for it. I would not go back.

We stayed at this hotel for 9 days on vacation. It was an incredible place, amazing food, staff and service. We were able to upgrade up on arrival for a small fee. We got the top floor with a balcony overlooking the beach. The room was large, a kitchen, bath, living room and a bedroom with two double beds. A reasonable bathroom with the vanity and sink on the outside and a nice walk in closet for all your luggages and belongings. What drew me to this hotel was it's water park as well as it's location. I did not want to be in the middle of the hussle and bussel of Cancun, the tour buses or mopeds. It is approximately a 15 minute drive from the hotel strip of Cancun. I did rent a car and was able to go into town anytime, but getting in and out of the hotel strip means sitting in traffic due to the people crossing the streets and huge tour buses. The food at All Ritmo was phenomenal. Four great restaurants offering all kinds of foods. Great for kids because the water park has a restaurant with kids meals like hot dogs, burgers, nachos, popcorn etc. the property is extremely clean and well kept. The staff is always walking through picking up plates, cups, napkins, etc that people leave behind. For a more fancy environment the Ostras restaurant includes delicious seafood choices, chicken and beef in a beautiful relaxing restaurant overlooking the beach. You do need reservations and it is also included in their all inclusive package. The pool is spectacular, playing music all day long, great games and challenges to keep adults and children entertained. Prizes include free spa sessions, professional pictures and gifts from the gift shop. The beach is five steps from the pool deck. Very nice, clean and also offering free kayaking and snorkeling. They had small hut type tents with lounge chairs and comfy sofa type seats. I highly recommend All Ritmo and can't wait to go back.

Let me start by saying that this review is only regarding the waterpark and it's amenities, not the resort. We had a wonderful time here our toddler, it cost us 350 Mexican pesos per adult which included access to the waterpark, all we can eat food, all we can drink (including alcohol) and mini golf. The waterpark: It was a little bit run down, but not really in bad condition. The large structure provides lots of entertainment, from slides to a large splash bucket. It is hard not to have fun playing in this area. There is a shallow pool which contains a few very small slides/play structures which are perfect for toddlers. Finally there is a small pool that is about (adult) waist deep which is connected to the bar. To our suprise they hosted a dance class in this pool that was open to anyone that wanted to learn. The food: I was not expecting much and neither should you. The food is not great. There are hotdogs, hamburgers, chili, french fries, salad and rice. Even though the burgers and dogs are cooked fresh, they are not of the highest quality. I think the food would have been better if they provided Mexican food rather than American style food. However, I was still very happy for the food to be included in the price of admission. The drinks: It was a nice suprise to find out that unlimited alcoholic beverages were included. I'm sure that they are watered down, but that is a problem easily overcome when there is no limit on drinks. Other amenities: Lockers, change rooms, gift shop, soccer field, mini golf, tennis, monkey bars, all included. Conclusion: Don't expect much from the food but know that you won't go hungry or thirsty. It is well worth the price of admission and I highly recommend adding this place to your list of places to go if you are looking for a great way to spend a day with your family.

We stayed here from the 27th April- 8th May, the hotel upon first glance is beautiful. Yes it probably does need some doing up but we liked the fact it had some Mexico style to it rather than all of the other hotels you see and go to. |Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted and checked in with no issues, we had help with our bags to our room and shown around. We did feel a little awkward because we did not realise Mexico is based heavily on tips and the staff member who brought our bags to the room was standing around waiting for a tip but we had travelled with no cash. We apologised and felt really bad and a little uncomfortable about this, but luckily the hotel had an ATM, so we withdrew some cash and found him.||Our room was beautiful with a sea view and so spacious, however were a little cross with the fact that we had paid extra for this room but had no tea or coffee facilities, but looking online saw that if you had a cheaper room these were provided.|We did also find a few days towards the end of our stay a chip on the floor in our room which was a little off putting because we did not take any food from the restaurant to the room as this was not allowed and having the room cleaned multiple times during our stay the chip was still there until our last day!!|We had a fridge which had drinks in upon arrival and refilled when the room was cleaned.||The beach was lovely and the staff worked so hard to keep the seaweed at bay, but this is nature and sadly was at many other beaches we visited whilst on our trip, it did not bother us and can't see how the reviews can be so harsh regarding something that is and was out of the hotels control.|The area where the sun loungers were could defiantly do with some TLC , but the pool and area was always clean.|||FOOD- |This was a bit of a nightmare for us and we struggled alot with it, the main restaurant was really poor, our whole time we were there they only served bacon once for breakfast, the rest of the food was either main meal food, chicken or something else, pastries and very little on offer. |Lunch time and dinner time were pretty much serving the same food, salads and some other options but nothing really traditionally Mexican, we visited the other restaurant 2 evenings, one for Mexican food and the other Italian, which were both very poor. |We reserved seats both nights for these and was advised to arrive 10 mins early before reservation time, the first night we were sat down earlier than our booked time and looked after no issues, the next night we waited to be seated whilst the staff just stood around talking knowing we were there. We went and sat ourselves down as there were stalls with staff selling items on (will come to that further down) and one of the waiters came over and wasn't very pleasant advising they don't open until 6.45 and we had to wait to be seated. When advised we were seated earlier the previous night and that it says to arrive 10 mins earlier he was pretty argumentative about times and that we had to wait until 6.45 on the dot. Which was pretty disappointing and spoilt the tone of our evening. I would advise the hotel to look into this as we were not wanting to be served instantly, we got drinks from the bar and just wanted to sit out of the heat but this was not allowed. |Luckily we did not have kids with us but for anyone taking kids I would stress to either get some food in from the shop or look elsewhere as there was nothing really on offer for children to eat, a small stand in the corner of the room offering maybe 2 mains if that and the same desserts as adults. ||The stalls outside the restaurant were a nightmare, trying to rip off people with overpriced tatt that could be picked up elsewhere from a gift shop at a cheaper price, if you wanted to just look in peace that was not a thing, within a second of getting to the stalls you were jumped on and bothered by staff trying to sell you items. |Even if you were just sat at the bar waiting for a drink and looking from a afar you were still getting shouted at to go over. ||The hotel is in the middle of nowhere with no shops around but we did find a little OXXO shop about 20 mins walk from the hotel and much cheaper than the shop inside the hotel to get some drinks and snacks.||On our last day staff were helpful again with looking after our bags and popping them in the storage room until we were picked up, however we were advised on checking in that when we checked out we would not be able to use the restaurants or get drinks as we were no longer guests, which again was a little unfair seeing as we had to check out at 12 and were not being picked up until 3.40pm so couldn't get food or drinks, luckily we were advised upon checking out that we had a little time left to get some food but how long that was we weren't told. |We waited in the lobby area and they had a function on or something regarding an award, loads of people being made a fuss off and loud music, so being able to sit inside away from the heat with nowhere to go from the noise was also frustrating. ||We had a lovely time and will be returning to Mexico but sadly will not be returning to this hotel. If you are not fussed by food we would highly recommend as apart from the few niggles what we paid for our stay...

My two friends and boyfriend just stayed at this resort for a little graduation getaway, and although the views and beach were absolutely amazing, I wish so badly we could say the same about the hospitality and condition of the property. It is a cheaper stay during the time we booked, however I recommend spending the extra $100 somewhere else. Im not sure if it was because we were four 19 yr olds, but we were pushed aside over and over again, service would forget about us or assume we did not have reservations at the Ostras (nice restaurant on resort.) Our drink orders would not be taken unless one of us went up to the bar and asked or waved the waiter over, when that was hugely frowned upon in this restaurant and everyone else was being brought drinks! It unfortunately only got worse from there. When we arrived we were charged $515 CAD to “upgrade” our rooms so that we could be in the same building as each-other, and were told these rooms were the absolute best. We were lied to about the size of beds which was uncomfortable for the friends as they were much taller than me. The view was once again unbeatable, however mine and my boyfriends back sliding door would NOT lock multiple times, room service came twice for our friends but not once for us (yes, we left tips) as well as our safe had locked us out despite us putting in the exact same code we set, and when my boyfriend brought it to the front desk at 8:30 am, we were told someone was coming to check it out at 10:30, we said great thank you so much, waited in the room until 10:45, no one came, so we went back down. The second time we did, the lady at the front desk apologized and said she was sending them right away, we waited another 45 mins in the room, no one came. I then went to the lobby extremely frustrated, to which the person who booked us in came to the room with us, and almost tried to make me look an idiot for saying the back door wouldn’t lock before he tried it, and when he did and realized we were right he apologized, and got the door and safe fixed.. for not even 24 hours. I felt bad going to the desk over and over again so we genuinely kept it to ourselves the second time and said oh well we will just deal with it, until the AC leaked all over our bed and soaked it. We had to go to the desk and they were very clearly annoyed with us rather than being helpful or sorry for the incident and told us they would send someone at 7:00 pm. This was around 5-6pm, so me and my boyfriend decided to get showered and ready for our nice beach dinner, which was gorgeous nothing to complain about there, HOWEVER when my boyfriend got out of the shower, with the layout of the washroom you are very visible once you exit the shower, he was met with 4 men in our room tackling the AC. My problem with this, although i appreciate them trying to respect our time and get it done fast, I was told they were coming at 7 so felt safe to shower at 6.. When they heard the shower running, they still decided to entire our room and work, there was never a knock or hola nothing, just 4 men in our room with me completely exposed in the shower. When my boyfriend saw them, he was baffled and came to tell me, at this point they still didn’t leave, knowing there was naked people in the washroom. They would not leave until my boyfriend asked twice, the second time being aggressive because they didn't get it the first time. I ended up being late to my reservation as I was stuck in the shower or else i would've been seen. I was so incredibly upset at this point, however completely felt as though they would not give a care in the world given how they handled and reacted with our previous complaints, and once again we decided to just let it be and try to enjoy the stay. The trip advisor completely lied to us about the excursion we booked, and left out key details that left us sitting for 3 hours while others swam with dolphins because it was not mentioned to us once. Don’t waste the money here if you are under 30 as they WILL NOT...

  1. All Yucatan peninsula is in the highest peak of COVID cases right now. I read something in the website regarding two complimentary COVID test which at the end it was just a questionnaire. I was freaked out when I arrived to the hotel to see how a complete bus full of people arrived to the hotel. The hotel was at 100% capacity to the point they could not give us the 2-bed room we requested! The staff tried to implement some preventive measures in the restaurant but in a very poor way by using a thermometer in people's arms and asking for your name and room number; unfortunately the thermometer must of the time did not work. Besides that everybody needed to wear face mask, hand sanitizer and gloves. Most food was served by the staff. We survived one week at this hotel!!!!
  2. BIG SCAM! Only one of the 5 restaurants is open. We complaint about it and their answer was: due to COVID... seriously?? so they can have packed the hotel at full capacity, but only one restaurant??? Only one specialty restaurant called "La Ostra" was open and not every day with only capacity for 5 families. We were the lucky ones to have a reservation through the website. We actually went twice with the surprise that they do not change the menu! The menu did not have many options and consists of 4-5 courses with only 2 options each which were not that kids friendly. However, the supreme salad, portobello cream and the chicken were superb!
  3. Very impractical hotel! The hotel is split by the road. The waterpark is in the other side of the road and you need to go through a short tunnel. But there is a little inconvenient.. the towels are next to the pool which are in front of the beach... opposite direction. So you need to go to the pool first and then go through the tunnel to the waterpark. Why hasn't the hotel added a second towel booth at the waterpark.
  4. Waterpark is big and fun with several slides but has rusty bolts, concrete has potholes. One of kids got little hurt on the foot. There is a pool bar where the bar tender was not wearing facemask all time and hanging with guests, shaking hands while preparing drinks. Cocktails were terrible... stay away from pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris and miami vice.. they are just ice with a horrible mega sweet syrup. Mojitos, Clamatos, cheladas and sangrias were OK.
  5. The only restaurant open had not a lot of variety but we personally found the food delicious. Very Mexican traditional homemade food. TV was good with cable channels but remote control did not work. We called multiple times... 24 hrs later they changed the remote control. In the same room, one light bulb did not work and it was dripping water from the ceiling!! They never came to fix it.
