Walter's Tap Room — Local services in Ensenada

Starting with their IPA, which I liked, their Peruvian [version] ceviche lacking ají verde, and Cuzco corn, I was advised by engaging Paul upon questioning the originality of such plate, it tasted great to me and my partner who ordered Tiritas, somewhat of a version of sashimi, we both liked it—she had it on a previous occasion. The evening was just great! The splendor of the area once one walked thru the gate is beautiful. My focus started on the pleasant conversation with the bartender Anahy while I waited for my friend to arrive after being escorted inside by Rigoberto, at the door, and courteously having introduced her to me. The service, including all the interaction by these three staff members was on point. We enjoyed their conversation and service until the curtain closed the theatre. The place was recommended to me and picked by my friend. Hopefully the chef has already received the compliment I left for him. Now I fantasize on having them incorporate the Ají verde Peruvian sauce and are able go gather Cuzco corn and make my dream come true. I’ve had such dish on several occasions in Utah and Arizona in traditional Peruvian restaurants. Yes, I know I’m in Mexico, and I love it; and Walter’s Tap room with the staff. This was by far the worse food I’ve ever had. So disappointing they should only call it a bar because the food is all americanized, hot dogs, pizzas and burgers. What in the heck has happened to Mexico i was born in Guadalajara and only came to spend the weekend in Ensenada and I literally felt so disgusting with all the trump supporting American people buying all the land and opening big hotels etc. Just to take away all the culture and food from my hometown. Never again i love Mexico but will stay far away from tourists towns. Walter you have three employees running around like chickens without heads to serve a large crowd shame on you!!!!!! Muy mal servicio del dueño! Ya son varias las malas experiencias. Iba seguido a este restaurant bar porque me queda enfrente de mi casa. Esta ultima vez que fui me hicieron un panchote y me hicieron pasar un muy mal rato con mi hija de 13 años, porque me fui caminando a la playa, donde se supone que por ley federal todos las propiedades colindantes a la playa qué es territorio federal deben de tener un acceso de servidumbre de paso, y en la salida el dueño me maltrato enfrente de mi hija. Creo es el mismo dueño del Hotel Quintas papagayo. Y pues si así es el dueño imagínense como trata a los empleados.
