The process to purchase tickets via the website or the app is quite seamless with options for Apple and Google Pay. The location is very hard to find. You have to take the escalators (or maybe there are elevators) up to the 3rd floor, with El Globo, then weave through some hallways to a small food court where the cinema is at the end. The cinema itself is simple, but modern, fully remodeled, a small box office, coffee shop, some arcade games, including billiards, and a bar with some tables to order and wait for your movie to start. The auditoriums are nice, with recliners in the VIP screens. I can't find a way to get the menu without just Googling it, but maybe there is or should be a QR code somewhere. You hit the button, and a server with a tablet comes to take your order and payment. Typically, the service is pretty fast, except when they're busy, things can take a while. The menu has quite a few options in general, but not so many food meal options, a baguette, wings, fries, crepes, and a bunch of classic cinema snacks. We keep...

Have you ever heard that prospective is everything? Sometimes, when I'm in Mexico, I forget how effective marketing from America can be.
I'll admit comparing this theater if other chain theaters in the United States isn't apples-to-apples, but stay tuned for my Cinemex review.
When it comes to concepts, this one isn't all that edgy, it's exactly what movie theaters used to be in the U.S.; it has an arcade; it's located in a mall, it offers matinee pricing during the week 😯; and added a full bar to boot. The latter is probably the only thing that might be considered a concept in the U.S.
Most of the movie theaters in America have given up on providing generalized fun and focus on premium services. Over-priced food and delivery services rule the day (because everyone tried to rip off Alamo), with ticket prices for four equalling a small 4K UHD TV. Mierda!
Anyway, sometimes Mexico doesn't have it as bad as they...
Read moreI love the full movie experience here. First we only paid 70 pesos for a weeknight movie, an amazing price. We were in the Plex whuch has cushy chairs, a good sized screen and great sound. The VIP theaters have food service to your seat - the same movie can be in either one, depending on the time. There’s a China Panda and other food offerings just outside the theater (up on the same third floor of WTC), plus PF Chiangs and other restaurants on the street level. Like other things in Mexico City (Sears!), this theater is like going back in time, a quality theater at a great price, with other fun available like air hockey. But at the same time it is modern, including the ability to...
