Read moreArriving from Paris I caught the train to Hoofsddorp Station and headed down the platform for the short walk to my hotel. I passed the small restaurant and spotted the fries. After checking in to my hotel I decided to head back to the station for some of those fries. When I got there I saw the server preparing something for another customer and told him that's what I wanted when he asked for my order. The dish I ordered was Kapsalon. I have never eaten anything like it. It was delicious. Unfortunately, I was only in Amsterdam Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and was only able to eat there one more time on Saturday--he was closed on Sunday. I got a small kapsalon as a snack and it was absolutely delicious, juicy and flavourful meat, nice sauces and a healthy portion of salad on top (more than most döner places serve). The only downside are the fries lacking a bit of flavour but it was barely noticeable. 7,50 for a small kapsalon is a stretch, but they use 150% of the capacity of the aluminium tray.
