I have lived in ellerslie for 2 years and i have just found this take away . How did i miss it as its only 5 min away from me . Its been a great experience so far . I first tried a egg burger Omg the best burgers I have ever eaten and i have eatten a few, the generous home made meat patties mmmm great salad fillings, including beetroot, the burger buns are even yummy . I then have had some potstoe fritters , u order 2 you get 4,,, standard practise , they are a good size nice and crispy. Perfect thickness and not oily but then i tried the home made spring rolls omg light and crispy with a realy tasty filling not the stanard tasting spring rolls from other take aways these are unique to this take awsy . I can't wait to try the curry rolls. I ordered two the next time . They have a great menu with variety and a couple of unique items, which u will need to visit to find out they offer a selection of 3 fish i think Place is so clean and tidy . I have waited 45min for an order and i had no problem waiting as it was worth the wait . Next time I rang it through so i suggest you do this as it has a very large and loyal customer base . Also they do close around 7.30 -8 ish so dont leave too late . This place is probably my best takeaway ever and I have had a few takeaways in my time . It's the little things that count like Mr Dayal brought my order out to me in my car where I was waiting, its the way they wrap their burgers up for you ,I know it sounds silly but it makes a difference , the burgers stayed nice and warm. Oriental takeaway, otherwise known as the heart of Ellerslie and/or the eighth wonder of the world. It is the social hub of Auckland, where none other than the elite gather - which is without a doubt due to the quality of the food, unique decorating and the customer service that the bossman provides. The food is delicious, I usually order a hamburger and a scoop of chips which has never failed to fulfill my needs and has always left me with a full belly and smile on my face. The food is undeniably top five in Auckland, if not the country.

Secondly the design and layout of the establishment is phenomenal, the iconic silver table and chairs have a sleek design which has a stylish modern aesthetic while still being comfortable on the buttocks.

The bossman always provides upmost quality chat, and has been known to throw in an extra wing from time to time. He is the kind of person that our country needs, and I have insisted he runs for mayor or even prime minister - he would be phenomenal.

On a final note Marua is the best place to eat in the whole of aoteroa and I hope my mokopuna are eating there in the future. I recommend anyone and everyone try this fine establishment, you will...

First time we have been here. I was asking around friends of any good takeaways that they know of or have been to. They had heard of this one. A little expensive because we had burgers. Totally understandable with the price of food these days. I have to say, they were delicious. If a works burger can fill up my hubby, it has to be good. Great service, great food. Next time I will do a phone order as it is very popular, wait time if you order there can be a little long but they do tell you upfront.
