Have tried four dishes tonight. My first time here. A 20 mins wait was ok at dinner time. Though no one said hello, a young boy at the counter was doing his job very well. Unfortunately, however, I couldn't enjoy their food at all. Pork in the sweet and sour pork was coated so heavily that I hardly tasted the meat. We were visiting and only went there based on the previous review but by the time I left the shop with two fish, two crab sticks and a scoop I could smell the oil and feel it coming through the paper. When we opened it at home the batter was so oily it had come away from the fish and was inedible. Great local takeaway. Food is fresh and easy eating. Asia dishes are very general with not lots of flavor separation that show cases where the inspiration comes from. I would love to see more flavors being teased out of the speciality dishes. They would be amazing with a bit more love of the ingredients. Say more developed satay if ordering satay versus a base Chop Suey across everything. The up side is fresh in season ingredients....
