I am so glad we found this on the map and stopped in! The attention to detail on their clothes and various gear is amazing. The designs are unique and created by local artists and the feel of the clothes is really top-notch quality. Christine was just the kindest person ever! I loved talking with her to find out more about the patterns and designs. Ended up leaving with quite a big bag because the quality was great on each item! The towels are incredibly soft, the men’s board shorts are a must gift for the loved ones in your life, the men’s shirt designs are wonderful, the wrap skirt design is genius… I could go on and on! The sweatshirt is a very flattering cut and I have to repeat: the designs are so lovely! Whether you are a local or passing by you should stop and shop! Kaleo is the perfect way to support local artists/local business while expressing a unique bit of kiwiana. Simultaneously, it is a fantastic place to find a gift for your overseas family and friends that feels genuinely Kiwi and not "tacky tourist".

On a recent visit to Kerikeri we had the pleasure of visiting the Kaleo Design Studio. The studio, clothing and accessories are unlike anything else we had seen on our trip; unique, colorful and designed by local artists.
