I was born in England, Chinese food and Indian food were part of my upbringing (as well as British food of course). I've lived all over the West Midlands, Devon and even Derbyshire. But this Chow Mein from this little freaking taker in Christchurch, IS ABSOLUTELY FREAKING AMAZING. The veg has been cooked perfect, the amount of meat to veg ratio is spot on, the sauce is to die for, the overall portion allows me to have 2 days worth of dinners. The staff were friendly, and the place was packed. I saw several customers bring their own boxes to take away their orders, as they ordered upto 8 items to feed their family. Honestly havent had a decent burger in a long time. I had the giant burger, cheese burger and a scoop. Friendly service - as I walked in one of the ladies who worked there was helping an older fragile man through the door. It was so nice to see that kiwi spirit! My giant burger was yum! Bacon pineapple meat pattie egg lettuce sauce cheese and it was just so good from start to finish. I would pay more for this than burger joints who claim they specialise in burgers. Filled me up! My son wanted to order 2C on his own, he went in, ordered and paid and sat giving me the thumbs up through the window, he accidently took the receipt with his order on it because the man put it on the counter, hes 7 so thought that was his number he needed for his order. The man yelled at him grabbed it off him and told him he was stupid. I went in and confronted the man who insistantly told me my son was stupid, I told him he's 7 and it was an obvious accident, my son was so upset and the other staff laughed.
