I've bought fish n chips from here a few times and the food was quite good until yesterday when i ordered the $25 special from BJ's Fresh Fish Takeaways i will say the fish was terribly overcooked it had a bad smell and a foul taste i could not finish it, the potatoe fritters are ridiculously tiny, chicken nuggets and chips were okay, the hotdogs were probably the only decent enjoyable part of the meal to eat. This place has changed quite a lot since I was last here, quite a few years ago. The menu has expanded quite a lot, but there's no separation into different groups in each main area, so I found it hard to find exactly what I was looking for. Having said that, there was not a long wait for the food to be made. The fish (hoki) was succulent and fresh, and the fries were good, maybe a touch too heavy on the salt. Otherwise not bad. I'm sorry but they ran out of hamburger buns. Instead of sending the staff to go get some they allowed the rest of the order to go cold while the cook went and got some.
