Waikato Equestrian Centre — Local services in Hamilton

I highly recommend this fantastic facility with their knowledgeable teachers/staff and good horses. We have been riding here for years, starting with Adopt-a-pony holiday program and for 2 years now attending riding lessons weekly (returning adult and 2 kids). I found that we mostly get matched with the right horse, yet still get encouraged to push our boundaries and learn from other horses. As an advanced adult rider, I am progressing steadily and get very well matched with generally the same horse. I enjoyed my time here but I don't think they match the person with the horse. I was riding a HUGE horse as a beginner and it had a REALLY bad attitude! It was lazy and cranky! No offence to the horse, but as a beginner it was really scary and I never want to go back there again! So, if you are thinking of going horse riding, think elsewhere! P.S: No offence...
