Evan’s Kebab Northcross — Local services in Hibiscus and Bays

We went in with high expectations as Evan’s came recommended to us by friends. I ordered a mixed Doner Kebab with no salad, which came with 3 sauces. I wasn’t sure about the taste so I asked for Mayo on the Kebab and the other 2 to be on the side in case I didn’t like it, I was told no, it has to go on the kabab, fair enough I just got mayo. My partner ordered the 3 piece fired chicken with garlic yoghurt and my daughter ordered chicken nuggets with tomato sauce. We were told it would take 16min for the chicken to be fried, we weren’t worried as at least we knew it was fresh, we were prepared to wait. Fast forward we get home starving after a long day, open my kabab, no sauce just the dry meat. My husband opens his box of 3 over cooked chicken with no yoghurt sauce. My daughter opens her box, no tomato sauce. I always taste my daughter’s food before she eats it and the nuggets as well as the chips tasted like old oil. My husband said his chicken was the same. We added our own sauce t help with the oil taste and to help with the dryness. We contacted them immediately and they asked us to come back we said absolutely not as the drive for us was 15 add peak hour traffic onto that, it was not gonna happen. All in all very disappointing and will not be returning...

Fantastic Kebabs and Exceptional Service!

We recently visited Ivan's Kebab Shop and had the pleasure of trying out 4 of their dishes for a family picknic .

The food was absolutely delicious; every member of my family loved it. The kebabs were freshly made and bursting with flavor. Whether you're a fan of traditional or exotic flavors, they've got something for everyone.

The staff were friendly enough but unfortunately my lamb 'snack' pack for $20.50 was disappointing. The lamb wasn't freshly sliced of the donër rotisserie like other better kebab places which meant the meat was dry, stringy and flavourless. Half of the meat I couldn't eat because of this.

The chips seemed fresh and were salted well. It also said on the menu that it came with cheese but I maybe got a tablespoon of it on a couple of the chips. Garlic yoghurt was flavourless. 3 stars not 2 because it didn't make me vomit.

Am I going back, not a chance.

Galatos in Milford is easily the best kebab and donër place this side of the bridge I've found, drive all the way there...
